6th pick in 12 Team Standard

Postby TrojanStar » Mon Sep 06, 2010 9:32 am

I am pretty happy. I wanted Arian Foster but he was taken way early. This is how I think I am starting week 1:

Brady

Mendenhall
F. Jones

Megatron
Harvin

Celek

Rackers

N.O.

Bench: Bradford (Weak) Thomas Jones, Reggie Bush, Pierre Garcon, Jacoby Jones (Very High On Him), John Carlson, Jeff Reed, Hou.D

Personally I like Garcon over Harvin. It's not bad, I'd just like to see how your league's draft played out because it seems like you should have been able to get a better RB2 or WR2. Who did you pick 6th overall? Seems like you should have been able to get someone better. Just my opinion. If Calvin Johnson doesn't completely bounce back I think you might need to find some waiver gems. Hopefully Barber gets hurt or F. Jones starts to assume the starter role. Sorry don't mean to be negative I just think it's average.

I like your starting lineup but you have a couple of injury prone players in Calvin and Felix. Garcon is great to have on the bench....I would like to see a stronger RB #2 on your bench. Felix is a great high risk/reward type guy but MB3 is still the goal line back. Not a bad team but watch the wire closely for your opportunity to grab a stronger back.

good luck ;-D

Even though I think the team is decent, I wonder who you took with the 6th pick? Brady or Mendenhall? Either way, you might have reached with the 6th overall pick. I can think of a handful of guys I would have taken before them, and thats without knowing who went top 5. But, that being said, you still have a solid squad, but it probably could have been better...

I took Brady 6th. We score 6 points for all TD's. I used to look at what people did last year and try to draft that way, however two years ago I started looking at what I thought the players could do. Last year I took Chris Johnson over everyone and got blasted for not taking the 16 players ranked ahead of him. It looked good at the end of the year. I do not think I have a Chris Johnson on my team this year, but at year end I believe Jacoby Jones is going to be very high on the overall WR list. I also traded Thomas Jones and Harvin for Arian Foster (I think this years top 3 RB). I appriciate all the advice good or bad.

Nice trade....Garcon is better plug in player for ya. Harvin is fun to watch but those migrains may continue to pop up. With Foster you have nice squad.

Yeah that definitely changes things. Real solid team with Foster on board (I have him too so I might be a little biased haha).
