Would you pull the trigger on this trade?

Postby Motown Blues » Mon Sep 06, 2010 10:33 am

Can start 1 QB / 3 WR's / 2 RB's / 1 flex....6 pts all TD's...PPR-league

Given my CHANGED feelings since I drafted Rivers as my #1 QB, reaffirmed by this report from Rotoworld....
The preseason has shown that San Diego's offense will function without Marcus McNeill and Vincent Jackson. But the offense has changed. This is now a short-based passing attack that will feature Antonio Gates and Legedu Naanee over the middle, while requiring a tight end to "help" protection-deficient LT Brandyn Dombrowski. The Chargers are going to run the ball way more with Ryan Mathews, so don't expect Rivers to approach his 2009 numbers. With a major decline in pass attempts and vertical hookups, he is not a lock-safe top-seven fantasy QB.

....I am looking to move him and upgrade my WR's.

This is the offer I have made verbally to a buddy, who has agreed to it if I offer it:

I GIVE Philip Rivers and Jabar Gaffney, I GET Joe Flacco and Roddy White in return. Am I silly to believe and downturn with Rivers and breakout with Flacco? Would you do this trade? Why, why not? Keep in mind, I have Favre as a back-up....

QB Rivers / Favre
RB S-Jax / Foster / Sproles (return yards count) / Cadillac / D. Brown
WR Fitzgerald / Maclin / J.Jones / Gaffney / McCluster
TE Clark
K Tynes
DEF SanFran / Cincy

Hell yea i do that trade.. Im not high on Rivers without Vincent Jackson, unless they are able to pick up TJ Housh. You still have farve who is a solid qb and i think flacco will have a great year with the addition of boldin. Then the upgrade from jacoby Jones to Roddy White is staggering.. Roddy white is a monster in ppr leagues and Jones although is considered a breakout candidate, ur going with the sure thing in roddy white.. Take that deal and run.

HElp with mine please

in a second! Jump on this now. Flacco is 4-5 points a week behind Rivers, but Roddy lows gaffney out of the water.

Thanks, guys. I went ahead and pulled the trigger. Just needed a little reassurance and I got that from you and this rotoworld report:
Ravens agreed to terms with WR T.J. Houshmandzadeh on a one-year, $855,000 contract.

;-DAnother WR for Flacco, if only to replace Stallworth.
