Julius Jones...*takes a pay cut*. Enter the Forsett Era

Wow....now I'm even more bummed Forsett got swiped right before my pick last week. Well at least this is some good news for Forsett owners.

Seahawks released RB Julius Jones.

The 29-year-old's release prevents Seattle from having to drop $2.45 million on a third-string tailback. We've finally got some clarity in the backfield. Justin Forsett will be the starter, rotating probably about evenly with Leon Washington (who will also return kicks and punts). The Seahawks' offense still projects to be among the league's least productive, so expectations should be limited. But Forsett is a stronger RB3 now in PPR leagues. Sep. 5 - 4:30 pm et

Hold up... He's not quite gone, just demoted to 3rd RB.

Rotoworld:
The Seahawks have decided to retain Julius Jones after he agreed to take a pay cut.
The team's plan was to cut Jones after be was beaten out by Justin Forsett and Leon Washington. GM John Schneider ultimately approached Jones about the cut, and he agreed to drastically reduce his previously scheduled $2.45M salary. Jones will enter the season as Seattle's third-string back. Look for Forsett to start and split time with Washington against the 49ers.

Wow, how unusual to see a player take less money instead of pouting off into the sunset. Spuprising the players union lets him take a pay cut. Sets a bad example.

It's a good thing I didn't put Forsett in my flex spot, in place of Ocho this week :-°
