14 team league, how did I do?

Postby Blitzkrieg » Mon Sep 06, 2010 1:52 pm

I had the 9th pick overall. Last year I won the championship with an awesome WR core of AJ, Rice and D.jax

this year I was kinda forced to balance my team out.

QB A.Rodgers, M.Cassel
RB R.Mathews, W.Mcgahee
RB Cadillac Williams, T.Gerhart, J.Dywer
WR M.Colston, K.Walter
WR D.Bowe, S.Rice
WR S.Moss G.Tate
TE D.Clark
K N.Rackers
D Ravens

yikes...

OK, Rodgers is obviously a stud and you have good starting RBs, but your b/u RBs are sketchy (I'm not convinced McGahee will have another year like 2009).

I think your WRs are weak, especially starting 3: Golden Tate is no better than 4th on the depth chart right now and will be even deeper if the Hawks land V Jax; you're looking at a minimum 8 week wait for Rice to get back on the field and then there's no telling how effective he'll be after all that time off; I just don't buy Santana Moss as a consistent fantasy starter, he's waaaay too streaky; Kevin Walter has every opportunity but I'd be worried about Jacoby Jones eating into his opportunities, if I were you; Colston is a top talent and should do well but there are an awful lot of other receivers on that team (Bush, Henderson, Meacham, Moore, Shockey) and he may not produce like a top-shelf fantasy WR; Bowe is a good solid WR but I'd be happier if he were your WR3, not WR2.

Keep your fingers crossed that none of Rodgers, Matthews or Cadillac get hurt or else you could be in for a loooong season.
