Wes Welker ... your thoughts?

How would you feel about having Welker as your WR2 in non-ppr leagues?

He's looked alright so far in preseason and you have to think he's going to play. Obviously, he's an injury risk, but I'm thinking he can have a good year. Maybe not as good as his other years but I think he will still be productive in that New England offense.

What do you guys think? WR2 numbers, or another injury waiting to happen?

I'm not worried in the least about Wes being a very good WR2 for any game he starts. I am, however, tremendously worried that he suffers some sort of setback and misses a chunk of games. Basically, if you have him, you need to either be deep at WR or handcuff him with Edelman. Edelman was a bigtime possession receiver for the handful of games that Welker missed last year and I would expect the same this season. He was invisible when Wes was active however.

Bump him down draft boards a little based on the injury risk, but start him as you would have last year pre-injury.

He has looked great this pre-season, he keeps claiming he isn't 100% which I do believe, but in that O with his natural talents he doesn't have to be; to be a very good WR2. I have him a lot lower in non-ppr though.
