RATE TEAM AND OFFER SUGGESTIONS

Postby Slimm1 » Mon Sep 06, 2010 5:45 pm

This is my first fantasy football league ever (I know y'all have heard this before), and would like you to rate my attaced team below. I'm in a basic Yahoo fantasy Football league. I like my team, but i need to make a couple moves and I'm having trouble figuring out what to do. All suggestions are appreciated.

Donovan McNabb, Chad Henne - QB
Beanie Wells, LeSean McCoy, Ahmad Bradsbhaw - RB
Andre Johnson, Desean Jackson, Reggie Wayne, Mike Wallace, Jacoby Jones - WR
Dallas Clark, Marcedes Lewis - TE
Rian Lindell - K
NYJ, Washington - Def

QB: I want to get another QB to replace Chad Henne. The 2 that I have been looking at is: Matt Cassel or Mark Sanchez. Only other prominent names out there is: Jason Campbell, David Garrard, & Matt Hasselback

RB: I have no idea what to do here. Prominent names available: Willis McGahee, Tim Hightower, Laurence Maroney, Steve Slaton. I need more production here.

WR: I'm set.

TE: Who is Marcedes Lewis??? Available players: Todd Heap, Fred Davis, Chris Cooley, Kevin Boss

K & Def: I feel comfortable. Jets defense is gonna be good....I am a Skins fan and have faith in them this year. I think Buffalo will be kicking more FGs than touchdowns.

How does my team rate and what suggestions based on my available players should I make?

I would drop your back up TE and Kicker and pick up maybe Hightower and whichever QB you want. You can use these guys along with a few others to upgrade at RB, you could really use it.

I agree that your RB's are a bit weak, but not too terrible. Beanie and Mccoy could end up being very nice, and Bradshaw should have a solid year. Your recievers are absolutely sick. Can you start 3 of them? I sure hope so, cuz if you can, you will be hard to beat. I say hold on to Henne, he is better than the others you mentioned. And if Cooley is available, drop Lewis and grab him right away. Even if you dont need him, you could package him and maybe Wallace for a better RB. I promise someone in your league will need a TE if Cooley was on the waiver, and he could end up being very nice this year. Everything else looks good, I think you have a good chance. I do worry about QB for you, though. McNabb scares me.

@B3N: If I drop my kicker, is there anyone I should pick up
@Chainsaw: I picked up Cooley, and yes I can start 3 WR, that is why I am excited. I just hope that I can make some adjustments at QB, RB, & TE.

I think I will play Week 1 and see how it goes. If Donovan doesn't start, I will definitely be fishing for a better QB than Henne.
