Help me get a QB from one of these teams! WHIR

Postby HunglikeChampions » Tue Sep 07, 2010 9:31 am

I play in a 14 team Keeper (3 regular, 1 rookie) 1 PPR money league and obviously am weak at QB. QB's went early and often and I just tried to pick value and this is where I ended up. Below is my roster and 3 rosters that have 2 viable QB's on their team.

Mine
QB-Henne, Hasslebeck
RB- Stephen Jackson, Jahvid Best, Beanie Wells, Bernard Scott, Jason Snelling
RB-WR-Forsett
WR-Wayne, Megatron. aromashadu, Edleman, Mike WIlliams (seattle)
TE-Winslow
K- Buehler
Def- Bengals

Team 1
QB-Mcnabb, Flacco
RB-Deang. WIlliams, Brandom Jacobs, Kevin Smith, Slaton
RB/WR-Ronnie Brown,
WR-Bowe, Hakeem Nicks, Tate, Houshmanzadeh, Mike Williams, Damaryious Thomas
TE-Visanthe Shiancoe
K-Ryan Succop
Def-Pats

Team2
QB-Brady, M. Ryan
RB-Chris Johnson, Ahmad. Bradshaw, Donald Brown, Leon Washington, Julious Jones
RB/Wr-Eddie Royal
WR-Welker, Malcom Floyd, Jacoby Jones, Lafell, Mohamed Massaquoi, vincent Jackson(IR)
TE-Finley
K-Carpenter
Def-Dolphins

Team 3
QB-Romo, Eli M
RB-Thomas Jones, Caddy, M Bush, Fr. Jackson, Larry Johnson
RB/WR-Mcgahee
WR-Andre Johnson, Collie, Benn, Patrick Crayton, Avery(IR)
TE-Cooley, Heap
K-Rackers
Def- Giants

I am thinking Team 3 would be the easiest one to match up with considering their RB are pretty bad, and I have a little depth there, but I would hate to haev to root for Eli haha, thanks for all help! I will absolutetly help in return.

thx for the help.

This is a tough one. I do not think that your QBs are terrible just not great. You obviously are not going to get a top 7 guy. So that leaves you with Flacco and Eli. I am not high on Wells in a ppr league but could be wrong. I would try to trade Wells and Hasselbeck for Flacco or Manning.

Good luck

Although you have some depth at RB i don't think its enough to justify a trade of Wells for a QB. I think that even without a trade you have a very good team. If you are set on trading for a QB i would throw an offer like this to Team 1 you give him C. Johnson or Wayne for Flacco and Bowe or Nicks if he is looking for a QB in return throw him Hasselbeck but then make sure you get your choice of his receivers. Of course this is assuming you'd be willing to take a downgrade at receiver to boost your QB's. Although I do think that Henne is gonna have a big year Miami traded for Marshall and should begin to stray from the run since they found their QB.

Based on Henne's bye week, I would go w/ Flacco (vs. DEN) or Ryan (vs. CLE). To get either of these QBs, you will likely need to give up something major. Your proposed plan would require the least amount of talent being given up b/c they are so weak at RB.

Since you have Wayne, please help me...viewtopic.php?t=471921

While I like where your thinking's at, I'm just not sure you have the depth to offer up to get a top QB. IMO, I'd stick with what you got & see how things pan out. Then, if you still feel like you need a better QB, offer up Wells or a good WR for that upg at QB.

Thanks for the help with mine.

What about like Stephen Jackson and Wayne for like Romo and Andre Johnson? I know that would leave me fairly thin at RB, but Jackson kinda scares me a bit? good bad, indifferent?

I agree with the above posting to try and trade Hass and Wells for Flacco... I don't think Wells is going to get many receptions this year, and it's really the only trade you can offer without giving up a big player like Megatron.. .

I don't see you getting a good deal done. I would not give up Wells for Flacco or Eli. I would also not give up SJax/Wayne for Aj/Romo. I like SJax and Wayne and your teram would take a hit if you did that trade. I don't think Henne will be so bad this year. I would stay put for now and see how things turn out in Miami.

What kind of players are on the WW? I agree with others saying to stand pat and see what happens to Henne. I wouldn't be afraid of trading Beanie Wells away, I'm just wondering what you might be able to replace him with.

I just noticed I didnt include Bernard Scott or Jason SNelling on my original roster haha. So, if it matters, I also have both of them. On the WW RB wise is not much, Davis and Hillis from Cleveland, btu not much else.
