Reggie Wayne owners...easy ?

Postby N.E. Challengers » Tue Sep 07, 2010 7:55 pm

Roster: QB: Eli Manning,McNabb...RB: Ronnie Brown, Harrison, Huggins, Bernard Scott...WR: Moss, Wayne, Britt, Williams (SEA), Jacoby Jones, Floyd, Aromashodu...TE: Gates...D/ST: CIN...K: Jeff Reed

Scoring: Yahoo Standard, .5 REC

Starters: QB, 2 RBs, 3 WRs, Flex, TE, D, K

Would you trade Wayne & Brown for Mendenhall & Ward? Gives me a true RB1 and a decent WR2.

I'm not sure it's that easy. Ward is Ward. You know what you'll get. Not flashy WR1 numbers (maybe close if you are in PPR sort of like yours), but solid WR2. The difference between Brown and Mendy, that depends a lot on Brown's health. The problem is, I don't trust him at all. He's just not shown to be a full season guy. For that reason, I think I would take the deal.

12 Team League. We start 2 QBs and get .5 PPR, otherwise standard scoring
QBs: Stafford, Fitzpatrick, Collins
RBs: Charles, Mendenhall, Best, Starks, Carter, Karim
WRs: D. Jackson, Marshall, S. Smith, Green,
TE: Hernandez, Cook

I think you could get similar production out of Brown as Mendy who could end up being solid but I'm just not sold. The Steelers have alot of problems on the oline and now have Dixon as the starter. I can't see Mendy performing at last years levels. I would stay put.

I agree with this. There's also word that Isaac Redman has earned the short-yardage role in PIT. A huge part of Mendy's ADP thus far has been the lack of competition for carries at the goal line.... and that may be shot.

Yes Brown gets hurt but he consistently produces big numbers when he's healthy. Everything out of MIA has been that he feels great coming into this year.

On top of that, I think you take too big of a hit at WR to justify this trade.
