Sims-Walker for S. Moss? WHIR

Postby Hoosierdad » Tue Sep 07, 2010 10:28 pm

OK, after many trade offers, I finally made a deal for an upgrade to my QB2 (we play 2 QBs) and got McNabb. I'm one of those rare people who like having QB/WR connections and I think Santana Moss could be in for a big year. The Skins will be throwing it a lot, Moss is clearly their best WR, so I think there's some good upside for him based on his ADP. My team is in my sig. His team is:

QBs: Eli, Campbell
RBs: Rice, Forte, Sproles, Mcgahee
WRs: Wayne, Welker, Moss, Cotchery, Cribbs, Rice
TEs: Witten, Heap

Disregard if you don't like having a same team QB/WR, would I be crazy to trade Sims-Walker for Moss? I don't think he would go for Knox or anyone of my other WRs.

See any other way for me to get Moss?

12 Team League. We start 2 QBs and get .5 PPR, otherwise standard scoring
QBs: Stafford, Fitzpatrick, Collins
RBs: Charles, Mendenhall, Best, Starks, Carter, Karim
WRs: D. Jackson, Marshall, S. Smith, Green,
TE: Hernandez, Cook

If you like combo do it. I think you can't go wrong since you have a lot of depth at wr
If I had your team I would wait until the first week is played and see how mcnabb is doing since he is banged up.

i dont know if your crazy for wanting to do the trade but going with moss is riskier. yes, jacksonville is a run first team but that allows for the big play action to happen. both teams dont have to hard of schedules but mcnabb is known to throw to his tight ends a lot. now i dont mean to think of cooley as his number one receiver but dont think there isnt someone else he can throw to. i personally would stick to sims walker but moss could do good this season. dont forget get mcnabb has a bad ankle but will play. mcnabb is known for throwing on the run so week one may not be the best judgement of his seasons' numbers
if you say you will WHIR than WHIR!!

dont forget to rate the help you've received!

this is a really tough one because they're both fairly even. to me it's a coin flip. moss has a MUCH better qb. but sims-walker imo is a much better player. they'll both get the same amount of looks. they're both is terrible offenses. you have to go with your gut on this one.

thanks for help on mine

Thanks for answering mine.

I understand the "flawed" logic in looking at what happened last year to predict this year's numbers, but I had Sims-Walker last year and he won at least three games for me. On the other hand, I also endorse the idea of pairing a team's QB and WR together. However, I am not sold on McNabb and Moss this year. With McNabb already being dinged up, it doesn't look promising. I agree with other comments that Sims-Walker is even if not better than Moss. Therefore, I would consider holding onto Sims-Walker. While Jax isn't a great team, they have been able to compete with the teams in their division.

I lie walker more than moss but if you are big on the combo you might as well make the trade

Sims-Walker over Moss. I've never been a big fan of Moss and really not this year. At least not for Sims-Walker. If he will go for Knox then that might be a better deal and not as risky. But, I would not do it for Sims-Walker.

Thanks for your help on mine.

I can appreciate your rational & also like the QB/WR pairings, but IMO, I'd rather have the better player, regardless of team/pairing/etc.. That being said, I personally like MSW over Moss.
