How does my roster look?

Postby ipconfig777 » Wed Sep 08, 2010 11:05 am

This was the first time I have ever had the #1 pick. This is 10 team yahoo standard scoring league non-ppr.
QB, 2RB, 3WR, TE, DEF, K, 6 Bench

1. Adrian Peterson
2. Steven Jackson
3. Roddy White
4. Steve Smith
5. Antonio Gates
6. Joe Flacco
7. Hines Ward
8. Knowshon Moreno
9. Kevin Kolb
10. Clinton Portis
11. Pittsburgh
12. Lee Evans
13. Owen Daniels
14. Laurent Robinson
15. Mason Crosby

I am not sure about Portis or Evans but they were the top on my list at the time. I was hoping for Ricky Williams but he went the pick before I got Portis.

Just curious, but what made you choose AP over Johnson? I think the rest of the team is pretty solid. Which Steve Smith did you get? I won my league with Flacco last year and think he'll continue to get better with experience and better options. I really like the Moreno pick that late and think it was a steal. I also think Kolb is a bit of a steal that late, even though I rarely like to grab a backup QB that early. As for Portis and Evans, I think Portis is undervalued by most this year but am very hesitant to draft Evans. I think Evans has a big uphill battle to become fantasy-relevant.
When in doubt, punt!

You have a solid team. I would have gone johnson 1st though with AP's fumbling issues and Johnson can catch the ball.

Overall solid team and Laurent is a good late pick as well at WR.

What do you think of my team?

I really don't think CJ will be able to repeat last years performance. I also think that the WR situation in Minnesota is going to favor feeding the ball to AP more than last year. CJ and AP are very close but my gut just tells me to go with AP. It's hard to explain. I only had 30 minutes to think about it when i found out i was number 1 but I stand by my decision.

I picked Kolb up so soon because I wasn't all that confident in my Flacco decision. It was surprising to see Kolb still available, so I decided to cover my late starter QB with an early backup. In fact on some boards i see Kolb going before Flacco.

I completely agree about Evans, he will probably be one of the earliest guys i give up on. He's gotta come out strong to impress me.
