Need help w/ first pick - draft tonight!

Postby Yceman » Wed Sep 08, 2010 12:41 pm

12-team, PPR, H2H, 3 keepers - I have DeAngelo Williams, Calvin Johnson, and Shonn Greene

I have 4th pick in draft (which is actually Pick #40).

On the board are Ryan Mathews, Brandon Marshall, Cedric Benson, and Miles Austin. I'm guaranteed at least one of these guys, but I was hoping for a WR so I'd have a 2-for-2 split on good RB's and WR's. If Marshall and Austin are both gone, do I skip over Benson and grab DeSean Jackson who is ranked a little lower? Who would you pick out of this bunch? My thinking is that Mathews is definitely going first, so it'll be one of the other three being best available.

J Best, Beanie, and J Charles are also available.

Thanks in advance!

I would go with Miles Austin... although DJackson is very tempting. My only hesitation on him is that Kolb is just too much of an unknown factor.

If you play a flex then I say take best value, whether RB or WR. If no flex, then take the best available WR. I personally like Charles more than Benson in the RB rankings.

Starting lineup is the most important factor in choosing IMO.
I'm sorta new here...

If Mathews, Marshall, and Austin are all gone, I'd go with Charles as long as you can start 3 RBs. Then grab a WR the next round. If you can only start 2 RBs, then I guess you have to take Jackson or maybe go for a top QB if any are available.
