Week 1 Decisions (WHIR)

Hello,

I have two decisions to make. The first one is choosing between these two players at WR2:

Anquan Boldin (@NYJ)
Mike Sims-Walker (DEN)

I'm a little biased towards A. Boldin, because he is my favorite player, but I'm pretty sure benching him would be common sense to the usual fantasy football owner.

The second decision is whether to play Philadelphia D/ST (GB) or to pick up another defense, such as Arizona D/ST (@STL) or Miami D/ST (@BUF), for this week. My league detracts four points for allowing 28-34 points allowed and seven points for 35+ points allowed.

If I were to pick up another defense, which player do you suggest I drop?

i would go sims walker since boldin will be on revis island, and arizona defense. i wouldn't start defenses this year against the colts, saints, or packers.

I love Boldin too but I think I'd give the edge to Sims Walker this week as Boldin is vs NYJ.. Revis is back and I assume he'll be white-on-rice with Boldin so I'd not expect much from him this week.


Miami, if available... is an excellent option. you should definitely pick them up and bench your 1st D this week.

Like the previous posters, I like Sims-Walker's matchup better. So I definitely think you should go with him.

And definitely go with another defense this week. I would imagine GB will put up big numbers against PHI, so not a good matchup for the Eagles defense.

Another vote for MSW. Boldin is fun to watch but the matchup is simply not there for ya. Roll Miami vs. Buff this week....at this point I wouldn't start any Def against GB until something changes. GB is just unreal.

I would go MSW and definately wouldn't want to play a DST against a healthy Green Bay. See what else is out there.

Bench Boldin just for this week as Revis Island will be crawling up his ass all day long. As for your defense, I'd probably stick with Philly but The Dolphins D against the Bills looks tasty. You'd be pissed though if you bench Philly and Jackson houses one on special teams.
