What to trade for? Where are my weak spots?

Postby HotHandz305 » Thu Sep 09, 2010 6:50 am

So I am new and was wondering what everyone's opinion is as to what the weak spots of my roster is and what I should be looking to trade for to help boost my future upcoming weeks(eyes set on weeks 2-4).

Here is the roster:

QB: Brett Favre (Min)
WR: Roddy White (Atl)
WR: Steve Smith (Car)
RB: Maurice Jones-Drew (Jac)
RB: Steven Jackson (Stl)
TE: Jason Witten (Dal)
W/R: Jerome Harrison (Cle)(RB)
K: Garrett Hartley (NO)
DEF: Dallas
BN - WR: Mike Sims-Walker (Jac)
BN - WR: Braylon Edwards (NYJ)
BN - RB: Brandon Jacobs (NYG)
BN - RB: Beanie Wells (Ari)
BN - RB: Fred Jackson (Buf)
BN - RB: Darren Sproles (SD)

My current concerns and thoughts seem to be attracted mostly towards my QB as the #1 issue, and not so much of an issue but just generally deciding who to start as my Flex from the list of available players not starting as core WRs or RBs.

-QB- Favre is missing sidney rice from what I've read is expected to miss half the season, most likely him needing a few weeks to even get back to good potential meaning one of Favre's weapons is gone till fantasy playoff time which is far away from week 1. What is everyone's opinion on focusing towards improving my QB selection as top priority.
Week 13 Roster
QB Tony Romo
WR1 Greg Jennings
WR2 Vincent Jax
RB1 Arian Foster
RB2 LeSean McCoy
TE Vernon Davis
Flex (W/R/T) Willis McGahee
K Billy Cundiff

You need a backup QB for Favres bye week. I don't think I would worry about it right now though

Your team is fine, but you do have a big concern with Favre. It won't be a problem until Favre is unable to play. You might be able to find a decent back up QB on the Free Agent/WW list. Maybe Carson Palmer or maybe Matt Cassel. You could also try to trade Wells for someone's backup, maybe McNabb.

The wells for McNabb trade is a good possibility, what is everyones opinion on starting McNabb over Favre? A good idea most of the time, a bad idea most of the time, or a good idea based on each persons opponent's team defense?

Team looks ok. I am on board with Farve is weakest link. If you want a solid qb cheap I love Matt Ryan. He will finish a top 10 qb and you can get him for cheap.

some help
