Ok so Owen Daniels is my only TE and I do not wish to start him this week. The only problem is, I do not wish to drop anyone on my team for a 1-2 week fill-in. Normally I would drop my backup QB (Kolb) but in this case, I am starting him this week over Flacco. We only have 5 bench spots so I would either have to drop Mike Wallace, Johnny Knox, Reggie Bush, or Ahmad Bradshaw. I don't see any of these as droppable. I see great things from Knox and Wallace. Do I just roll with Owen Daniels and hope for the best?

I'd roll w/ him in week 1. They say he'll play 20 or so snaps, if they're all in the red zone, that's enough for me! The TE you'd pick up at this point will probably play a full game and put up what Daniels can in 20 plays. viewtopic.php?t=472458

Go with Daniels, he has a good QB throwing to him and with AJ getting all the attention he will be able to find pockets of space, even if it is for 20 snaps...

I agree, I wasn't going to drop Kolb because I am starting him over Flacco this week. I also can't imagine dropping Knox, Wallace, Bush, or Bradshaw either.

Carlson vs. Seattle would be a good start, however I don't believe for 1 or 2 weeks of Daniels limited work that Carlson is worth dropping anyone on your team. I say ride it out...
