After doing several mock drafts over the past few days it seems to me that RB is much deeper than WR this year. (especially considering we play PPR)
I have seen the likes of Ahmad Bradshaw Matt Forte CJ Spiller Joseph Addai Knowhawn Moreno Arian Foster
all be available regularly in the 6th, 7th and 8th rounds, if not later.
Now they may not be total studs but some have nice upside and can be quality starters, as opposed to what WRs that are available after all of the stud WRs are gone.
How does everyone else view this.
I'm just looking to see my options for my strategy tonight.
Your draft position will determine which route you will take in the first 6 rounds of the draft. Yes the players you have mentioned are all late picks in most drafts but they have been creeping up draft boards as of late. But the reason they are still there is because all of those guys still have big question marks heading into the season.
If you are able to get into the top 4 picks you will have a shot at the top 4 RB's if you fall late into the first round you will have options of selecting one of the not so flashy RB's, most of the top WR's and either Rodgers, Brees, or Manning( if your QB scoring favors the QB's).....when in doubt take best available and avoid the guys that you question when you look at their name. Build the team to your liking and you should do fine....also look TE early in PPR formats because the top 3-4 TE's will be better than your WR2 in most cases.

Good Luck!
Yeah, Obviously if I am 1-4 I take one of the big 4 RBs
but after that I have to start looking at A stud WR or even Rogers or Brees.
I've been experimenting with drafting 5 -12 and taking 2 WRs and a QB with my first 3 picks and I have been ending up with 3 or 4 RBs like Moreno Forte Bradshaw Addai CJ Spiller
In my league all of those players you listed were gone by the early 6th round and I think they should have all been gone by mid-5th. Of course, we have 2 flex positions and are non-PPR. I actually think WR is deeper this year but it really depends on your league settings.
The only way, I could see those players falling that far and would consider waiting that late for a RB is if your league starts 2 RB & 3 WR. If you play a flex, they shouldn't fall that far. If you only start 2 RBs, getting elite options at WR is more important. I think a PPR league also increases the value of those elite WRs, but after the first 3 rounds, all the top WRs are gone and I don't see as much drop off between a 4th round and a 6th round WR pick as I think there is at RB.
There are plenty of later WRs with good value in rounds 6-8 too: Garcon, Maclin, Floyd, Wallace, Knox, Driver, Mason, TO, S Moss. And I think there are a lot more late round options at WR than at RB: Williams (TB & Sea), Gaffney, Jones, Evans, Cotchery, Holmes, Edwards, Berrian, Burleson, Robinson, Murphy, Naanee. I'd rather be looking for WR depth at that part of the draft than worrying about RB depth.
And to echo one of the previous posters, those top 3-4 TEs are definitely worth an early pick in comparison to an expected WR2 that usually goes around the same position.
Those first few round will depend heavily on your draft position but just try to have a general idea of player value and go best player available and fill in the rest later. It's fine to make a general draft plan based on mock draft experience and if it all works out perfectly you may be able to stick to that plan, but don't force yourself to if the actual draft goes differently than the mocks.

That is our league exactly.
We start 2 RBs - 1PPR 3 WRs 1-PPR 1 TE 1-PPR
NO FLEX
That is why I have been considering going WR, WR with my first 2 picks if I can't get an elite RB.

I think I'd be trying for 2 WRs in the first 3 rounds then. Don't force yourself into WR/WR though. Even if you miss out on the big 4 RBs, some RBs like Gore and SJax are still great PPR options depending on where they fall and which WRs are around.
In a non-PPR league I took Gore over AJ and Turner last night at the #6. I think you should be able to get a top tier RB and pair with decent Tier 3/4 RBs then you're set for this draft. Typically the WRs available coming back in Rd 2 are sufficient to pair with a round 3/4 selection to suffice.
I think guys like Housh, V Jax, Rice are all interesting plays at the end. In my league I took Rice in the last round to hide on my bench as the season progresses. Will keep tabs on his on his progress.
