Hey guys, would really appreciate some help here. I'm in a PPR league where rushing, passing, and receiving TDs are all worth the same. Right now my current starting lineup is:
QB- Tony Romo RB- Michael Turner @Pit RB- Arian Foster vsInd WR- Greg Jennings @PHI WR- Miles Austin @Was WR- Steve Smith (Giants) vsCar TE- Visanthe Shiancoe @NO K- Robbie Gould DEF- Cowboys
and my bench is: QB- Kolb vs GB RB- Ryan Grant @PHI RB- Ricky Williams @BUF RB- Matt Forte vsDET WR- Robert Meachem vsMIN WR- Pierre Garcon @HOU
I'm having trouble picking a 2nd RB, I'm pretty sure Turner is a lock right? I originally had Grant starting over Foster but I'm reading that that isn't a good idea (Philly's D is tough). I also considered Forte because he's playing Detroit but with Suh and Vanden Boesch I don't think that run D is gonna be a complete pushover, plus Martz in Chicago now means a lot more passing than rushing.
As for WR, I assume Austin and Jennings are locks, but should I be starting Meachem or Garcon over Steve Smith (NYG)? I've read a few places saying to start Garcon over Smith.
Turner is a lock every week except maybe if he is facing the Jets. I like Foster vs IND over R Grant vs Philly, I would swap those two out depending on their matchup unless one starts to post better numbers week over week.
Forte may end up being a beast in PPR... but would give it a week to see how martz is going to do things.
I too am loving Foster this year as I drafted him in both my $$$ leagues, but I'm not loving him this week against IND. I'm worried that Indy will run the score up early and Foster will be taking a back seat during catch-up. Yes Turner Starts, and to compliment him I would go with Forte, IT'S Detroit, and until they prove they are not still Detriot then any RB is a good play.
As for your WR question I steered clear of Smith in all my drafts this year. I think Hicks will be the go to guy in NY this year. For your #3 I'd take Garcon or Meachum this week, but I give a VERY slight edge to Garcon.
QB: Ryan, Flacco RB: McFadden, Bush, Spiller, Benson (IR) WR: A. Johnson, M. Wallace, A. Roberts, Britt, DHB, N. Washington, Bess, Hixon, S. Hill (IR) TE: Graham, Fleener DEF: MIN K: Zuerlein, Hanson

My problem with your logic for Foster is the past two games the Texans have played the Colts they've jumped out to 17 point leads and eventually blew them, so you'd have to think if they do that again they'll want to run out the clock to keep the ball out of Peyton's hands. This could also be the season the Texans get over the hump and compete right in line with the Colts. I also don't like Indy's run d, especially after this preseason they didn't look too good.

I like you line up just the way it is.
Thanks man, I think I like it too I just wanted some approval from some peers. Wait and see might be best for Forte even if he has a big week this week I won't feel too bad because it's a pretty big risk.

Grant over Turner? As in a Foster/Grant lineup? Wow never really considered that.
Just look at Turners stats last year. His big numbers were against teams not so good. Pittsburg has what could be a top 3 rushing defense. I would stress over this pick too.

It's pretty even, here's what I pulled from his stats
Carolina 7th ranked Rush D last year: 28/105 1TD San Fran 5th ranked Rush D last year: 22/97 3TD Carolina a second time, last year: 9/111
Foster was the bomb... Forte??? Who knew. Grant will be a stud this year and I am not sure Forte will be the wide receiver of choice against most teams. How did that turner the burner thing work out? Week one is always a suprise. I am a Notre Dame and Cowboys fan, so I am not happy about anything except my Foster pick!!!!
