LeSean McCoy - Philly fans...

Postby nkjordan2323 » Thu Sep 09, 2010 8:48 pm

I'm a McCoy owner and have some high expectations for him in addition to getting him cheap in my league.

Hes been relatively quiet in pre-season and of course a new QB is running he show.

Should I be looking to deal this guy? I'd like to target a WR and make him part of the deal, but this is a keeper league and he does have upside. Is the Oline as bad as I am reading?

Any help would be appreciated..

ill help you cus im a Philly fan and an interested party.
Last year, i drafted a lot of eagles cus i knew they had potential. I had McNabb, Jackson, Celek and Maclin, Bradley and Mikell in a money league. I was happy with my team, i had a decent year.

This year, i made it a point to NOT draft ANY eagles. I can tell you right now that Kolb has been VERY unimpressive and the o-line looks like COMPLETE GARBAGE.

In my money league this year, i took LeSean McCoy in the fifth round. Now why would i do that if i promised myself NO EAGLES??? The only reason i did was because it was a PPR league. Because of the PPR league, and since kolb looks like TRASH, he is going to be checking down to the RB A LOT, TONS!

There were games last year where McCoy carried the ball 5 times OR LESS. On NUMEROUS occasions. He doesn't get goal line carries, that goes to Weaver. Now the eagles also have Mike Bell, who will take away carries.

If you are in a PPR league, keep McCoy. I am predicting aroudn 50-60 receptions and 600+ receiving yards, cus the blitz is gona kill Kolb. McCoy will become an incredible escape valve for Kolb.

If you are not in a PPR league, then deal McCoy NOW. He will not rush for more than 1000 yards. He will not score more than 6 rushing TD's.

My inal prediction will be 850 yards rushing, 6 rushing TD's. 55 receptions for 600 yards and 2 receiving TD's.
If you are happy with 1400 total yards and 8 td's than keep McCoy. If you need receiver help, then deal McCoy. See what you can get for him. Can you package McCoy and someone else for a fitzgerald, m austin?? then do it, cus they will probably outscore him in a non PPR league.

Yes, McCoy is more valuable in PPR format

But the offensive line isn't as "offensive" as they have looked. They haven't even played their starting offensive line yet as a unit this season. Their anchor and key, center Jamal Jackson will now be back starting game 1 and Todd Herrimans who also missed over half the preseason and is back.
