For the reasons you gave, he particularly should have held on to it. "Game winning catch, I'm keepin this." One could argue that he was losing it from his grip, and hit it on the ground to prevent it from just flying out of his hand. I don't believe that's the case one single bit, but it doesn't matter.

Because the Hawks won a single game at home means they're not bad? Granted it was the 49ers but they do this every year - they'll get some big-time momentum in a home game or two and knock off a real football team. It's going to take more than a single game to convince me they're better than 4-12-ish on the season. If Hasselbeck isn't knocked out before week 5 I'll be stunned. As usual the Seahawks did nothing to provide legit depth behind him. That line sucks - once Hass gets injured - and he will - it all falls apart.
