WHIR -- help at RB and WR

Postby joegoody41 » Fri Sep 10, 2010 3:58 pm

RB, Pick 2:
D. Williams @ NYG
Forte vs. DET
Harrison @ TB
F. Jones @ WAS
Barber @WAS

I plan to avoid both of the Dallas backs for now, and then I'm leaning towards starting Williams and Forte, but Harrison is tempting.

For my 3rd WR spot, who should I got with. Pick 1:
Knox vs. DET
L. Evans vs. MIA
Mike Williams (TB) vs. CLE
Gaffney @ JAX

My hunch says Knox, given the matchup and the fact that I am starting Cutler at QB. Evans plays in a terrible offense, but typically plays really well against the Dolphins. Williams might be too much of an unknown for now, but I like the matchup. Gaffney has a nice matchup too.

Thanks in advance. Leave a link and I'll help you out.

For RB, I would definitely go with D. Williams and M. Forte.

For WR, I would definitely go with J. Knox due to his extremely favorable match up.

I do not think the match-up is favorable for Forte this week. I have a hunch that the Bears and the Lions are going to be slinging the rock a lot. I expect both QB’s to have a good game, Stafford better than Cutler in this case because the Lions will be playing with the lead most game forcing Cutler to toss a couple of his signature interceptions, plus you have to factor in a boy named Suh. That being said however I think Knox is your best bet at receiver with Evans coming in a close 3rd, I think they’ll be playing from behind also which means that Edwards will be forced to find Evans. I have no idea what is going on in Denver and until they get an some sort of identity I’m not trusting any of their players and TB has serious question marks at QB, not worth the risk. I think Harrison is your guy at RB2 Dallas on the road against a redskins defense with everything to prove=lots and lots of Romo to Austin, plus they’ve got a new toy in Dez Bryant…not enough balls to go around.

for RB I'd go with D.Will and Harrison. Harrison has a great matchup, Cleveland looks to be a run first team and tampa will not put up a lot of points right out of the gate. Harrison is the main back there and will get a lot of carries. D. Will is a playmaker and has shreadded the Giants in the past. Forte would be next in line, but the bears are going to throw a lot. If this is a PPR league, forte gains a little more value, but I would still take harrison and d. will, especially with j. stew being somewhat limited with a heal injury.

both cowboys backs are out for me as we don't know who will get the bulk of the carries.

for the WR spot, I'd go with Knox, as stated above, the bears will throw a lot and Knox has way more upside. He should be the #1 reciever there, but you never know how the passes are going to be distributed. i wouldnt go with Lee evans as I think the Fins are going to control the clock, but I see the bills throwing as I figure they'll be down, but I think Knox still looks better. Gaffney would be a nice choice, he had some great games at the end of the season last year, if you don't like Knox, I'd roll with Gaffney.

Could not have seen this coming. Hopefully you ignored me or never read this post and went with Forte. I was kind of right on the Dallas running game but man Harrison was not impressive either. hopefully it all worked out for you.
