As an American, I'm never going to forget that day and I'm forever going to remember the day and where I was.
Interestingly, the day before, Sergeant Salvatore Giunta became the first living recipient of the Medal of Honor since Vietnam.
The white house action statement on his service is quite impressive.I also just found out that First Officer Michael Horrocks of United Airlines Flight 175 (flight that hit the South Tower) was an alum of my school. He was honored at our first home football game on Saturday. He had been a QB and they erected a statue of him and had a flyover in unison with the band. Very cool stuff.
Still can't believe it's been 9 years. Wow. I remember it like it was yesterday.
