RB decision for week 1 WHIR

Postby outsideoftime » Sun Sep 12, 2010 12:22 am

Ok I can start three of these guys because of the flex position. Who should I start?

Jamaal Charles vs SD I drafted him 3rd round so this is a lock

Matt Forte vs DET I have to have him go against the Lions right?

CJ Spiller vs MIA This guy is exciting but should I play him?

Tim Hightower vs STL He owns the Rams and Beanie is beat up

LaDainian Tomlinson vs BAL Uh no.

JUST FOR INFO SAKE H2H Yahoo 6 pts TDs 10 yds per point.

This weeks other starters
QB Rodgers
WR Fitzgerald, Boldin, Cribbs (we count return yds)
TE Finley
K Akers
DEF Chicago vs DET

Jamaal Charles and C.J. Spiller for sure.

After that, its between Forte and Hightower, and I'm leaning towards Hightower, big time. I think CHI will try to throw the ball ALOT. And I believe just the opposite is true for ARI. I think they'll be run-heavy on Sunday and with Beanie banged up I think Hightower could have a solid first outing. Forte could be more valuable as the season progresses and CHI's offense balances out, but for Week 1 I'm giving Hightower the edge.

Charles is the number 1 of course, and after that; I'd agree to go with Spiller and Hightower.

It's true that Forte has had a lot of success against the Lions, but with Martz being there; along with Chester Taylor on 3rd downs (I would think so), I'd like to see how they are going to use Forte, before I would start him. And fortunately for you; you have Spiller, who should see a ton of touches in that offense, and Hightower; who has the fortune of a banged up Wells. I just think you can afford to go Spiller and Hightower here, and still come away with nice results. Gl!

I would actually go with M. Forte for your flex position. Even though Chicago is now a pass-heavy offense, it would be a shame for Martz to simply let Forte's talents to go to waste. I believe he will be integrated into the offense and see a significant amount of touches. C. Spiller is pretty much the only thing Buffalo's offense has going for them. I believe they will focus on shutting him down.

I would have to say charles/Spiller/Forte. Forte is going to have a good game just because he is playing the lions but i wouldn't count on him every week and spiller is going to get the majority of touches until jackson gets healthier.
