How does WW work when acquiring two players?

Postby HotHandz305 » Mon Sep 13, 2010 1:03 am

So essentialyl to start off I play in a standard yahoo league except 6 pts for pass TD instead 4 and -1 points for missed point after attempt instead of 0. 10 Man League.

Here is my roster.
QB: Brett Favre (Min)
WR: Roddy White (Atl)
WR: Steve Smith (Car)
RB: Maurice Jones-Drew (Jac)
RB: Steven Jackson (Stl)
TE: Jason Witten (Dal)
W/R: Jerome Harrison (Cle)(RB)
K: Garrett Hartley (NO)
DEF: Dallas
BN - WR: Mike Sims-Walker (Jac)
BN - WR: Braylon Edwards (NYJ)
BN - RB: Brandon Jacobs (NYG)
BN - RB: Beanie Wells (Ari)
BN - RB: Fred Jackson (Buf)
BN - RB: Darren Sproles (SD)

Earlyer this week in a dumb move someone dropped Ahmad Bradshaw, in which I immediately placed my waiver wire attempt to pick him up by setting Darren Sproles to be dropped if so. My waiver wire number is 4 of 10 so I'm hoping I do. Now my biggest concern for the coming weeks and this week that is going by was QB. I just recently went to players available and saw impressive numbers posted this week(from best to worst) from David Garrad, Matt Hasselback, and Michael Vick and though David Garrad might be a good person to pick up and to drop one of my benched RB's.

****My main question is - seeing as how I already have a pending waiver wire request on Ahmad Bradshaw, how will putting in another request for David Garrad work? Will my first attempt be processed first under waiver wire #4 then I will be set back to 10(if I of course acquire Bradshaw) in which it will then process my next request as a waiver wire #10? Or will both work as a waiver wire #4 or what way if not listed.
****Second side question is, which of those people would best probably be best to pick up in the long run?

**EDIT** Giving my teams RB depth and good amount of talent and also the slightly more weighted points for pass TD's, would drafting a QB such as one of the ones listed possibly be a better use firstly over another RB, even though Bradshaw is great. Also thinking about it not sure how great Michael Vick is to pick him up considering he may only play again due to the fact Kevin Kolb is hurt with a conussion and might miss week 2.

**** SCROLL DOWN HERE ****

So I managed to find a decent article helping to descrube the waiver wire slightly. I learned that the #1 ww team gets their pick, then the 2nd and so on. Once the last person gets their pick then it goes back to the 1st and they get their 2nd pick. Only time that someone doesn't get the pick is if someone else picked up the person.

My question is, lets say I put in a waiver wire to pick up Ahmad Bradshaw dropping Darren Sproles, can I also put in a waiver wire after that to pick up David Garrad dropping Darren Sproles as my second pick incase I do not actually recieve Ahmad as my first?

From what I understand in yahoo settings, you are not able to place a waiver wire on two different players while dropping the same one. Suppose that you want to drop Darren Sproles for Ahmad Bradshaw. If you get it then good, however if you do not then you move up in the waiver wire. However, if you also place a waiver request on David Garrard while dropping a different player, then if no one is ahead of you then you lose your spot to last and then you also drop that specific player.
