Offered Benson for Cutler

Postby APAP » Mon Sep 13, 2010 1:53 pm

I've been looking for a RB1 to trade for, most likely for Cutler. I have been offered Cedric Benson for Cutler straight up, would you make the deal? Right now I'm leaning towards saying no, but it would also be nice to have another legit RB1 to start next to SJax. What do you think?

In a Start 2 QB's league, it looks to me like Cutler is one of your best players. QB's score the most points, and the Bears are going to be a pass-first team. Are you willing to start McNabb and Anderson every week?

Based on Week 1, I can't think of anything nice to say about your roster. Is this an 18 team league? You are hurting at both RB and WR, and trading Cutler will mean you're hurting at QB too. I'd try to package Anderson and SJax to get another bigtime QB.
12 team H2H league, standard scoring, no PPR.

Actually if you've read any of my previous posts, because I've mentioned it in many previous posts, this is a team I took over and in a rebuild. Why would I trade my only legit RB1 for a QB?

Hey, good luck with the rebuild! I'd stay put, I agree with you. You can get more for Cutler than Benson. You can't really afford to lose Cutler though IMO, with DA being DA...but I'm not sure who else you'd trade...so I guess you're right in trading Cutler, but I'd shoot for way more than Benson. Good luck with it and help if you can! Thanks.

I apologize if my post seemed offensive. You are doing a service for your league by not abandoning that team.
To answer your question, you'd be selling high on SJax, and he has been a dud the last couple of years because he's on a bad team that can't score touchdowns. I'm saying you need another stud QB because it's a start 2 QB's league, and QB's score far more fantasy points than RB's, so having a QB problem is much worse than having an RB problem. Just my opinion.
