Kolb and Stafford Hurt......WHIR~WHIR!

Postby TittsburgFeelers » Tue Sep 14, 2010 3:21 am

So my two QB's were Kevin Kolb and Matt Stafford....perfect. So I am in dire need of a replacement QB. As of now Vick is on waivers, I put in a claim to pick him up and drop Stafford, but with waiver 8 I dont really see it happening for me. Here are my other options:

1. Other QB's on the WW are: Vince Young (vs Pit), Jason Campbell (STL), Dennis Dixon(@TEN), David Gerrard(@SD), Derek Anderson(@ATL), Matt Hasselbeck(@DEN), Sam Bradford(@OAK).

2. I didn't want to carry a backup TE but Shiancoe dropped to me in the 14th round. I start Jermichael Finley. 12 team PPR League, Start QB, RB, RB, WR, WR, WR/RB, WR/TE. Here are a couple possible trade options:

Team 1 - TE - K Winslow. QB's Cutler, Rothlisberger (no help now but would be fitting considering my team name is the Tittsburgh Feelers). Also, this guy is a HUGE Packers fan so I might be able to ship him Finley.
Team 2 - TE - O Daniels. QB's Rivers, Palmer.
Team 3 - TE - H Miller. QB's Schaub, E Manning.

Should I make a move with Shiancoe or Finely to team 1 or ride the WW for a couple weeks? How much value does a TE even have in a flex league like this?

Here is my lineup if this helps
QB: Kolb, Stafford
RB: R Rice
RB: J Charles
WR: B Marshall
WR: M Colston
WR/TE: J Finley
WR/RB: Hightower/M Floyd/D McFadden
Bench: Hightower, D McFadden, J Forsett, M Floyd, M Williams(TB), J Gaffney, V Shiancoe

Leave your link I will definitely help you out.

I made nearly the same gamble myself. Kollb/Henne in one league, and Kolb/Big Ben in the other. :(

I would say you have good value in BOTH TEs. You might find someone with an unusually strong QB backup, especially someone with Brees, Rodgers, Manning, Brady, etc. as a starting QB who is willing to trade for a TE. The truth is you'd be just fine with Shiancoe if you traded Finley. I think Finley has enough value to yield someone better then the current WW options for you.

Help with mine?

Lions is right. You'd be fine with just Shiancoe. I say use Finley to try and get a QB from some other teams. The teams you listed already have some solid TE's, and I doubt Team 1 would part ways with Cutler. Maybe try to nab Eli from Team 3? If nothing comes along and you need to grab a QB off the WW the only one I'd consider is probably Garrard. Hope everything works out, that's a tough situation you're in. Thanks for the help on mine.

Garrard and Matt Hasselbeck are the big two if your forced to the WW. I personally would go Matt Hasselbeck. He is a proven starter in a dreadful division and this week he faces the Bronco's D which is sad. I'm not convinced Garrard is the real deal but he isn't gonna kill you either.

Good luck man.
