RB decisions... WHIR

Postby wareagle84 » Tue Sep 14, 2010 9:45 am

I am in a 12 team yahoo H2H league with standard scoring

We start 2 RB's. I figure Michael Turner is a definite play against Arizona, so I need help deciding who my other RB should be.

Jerome Harrison (vs Kansas City)
Ronnie Brown (at Minnesota)
Darren McFadden (vs St. Louis)

Leave your link and I'll help you out. Thanks.

It's not McFadden, that's for sure. Brown would be my gut instinct, but I'm not positive. Brown and Harrison are probably about equal this week.

Really? As I read this, I thought he was the clear one to go with. Jerome Harrison is splitting time with Hillis in Cleveland, Brown faces a strong Defense, McFadden is pretty much the one big guy at RB right now with Bush out in Oakland and they face St. Louis who isn't a great squad on either side of the ball. I'm new to all this but just my honest opinions. McFadden had a nice week with 20 pts. against a top D in Tennessee. Just my opinion though!

Any help on these topics would be great if possible. Thanks!

That's a fair point, Bigpop. Maybe he is about equal with the others. I'd still probably say Brown, though.

Any help with my question would be appreciated.

I'd narrow it down to Brown & McFadden. I'd lean towards Brown, milk him 'til he gets injured.

I cant give you an advice.
I can only give you some things to consider.

McFadden has a very good matchup on paper vs the Rams, and has no competition for the job. The Rams allowed 137 yds/game and 24 TDs last year.
Still, on sunday, in Arizona's new run first offense, Hightower had only 13 carries, while QB Anderson had 41 pass attempts.

I was watching the Dolphins vs the Bills, and they cant trust Henne. They'll have to run the ball. The question is: how?
The Vikings are always good against the run, and Ronnie and Ricky are spliting carries. Ronnie will get the rock a little more, but might end up with less points than Ricky. The Vikings allowed only 1 TD vs the mighty Saints offense, after the first drive. The Dolphins are not even close offensively. The game will be in Minnesota this week.

Harrison rushed for 286 yds !!! and 3 TDs last year vs KC.
He'll probably split carries with Payton Hillis this time.
On sunday, Jake Delhomme's passer rating was 59.2 vs Tampa Bay.
KC stopped the Chargers rush attack this monday, but that doesnt say much, cause the Chargers are a passing team, and were trailing for 36 minutes. And the Chargers were without Pro Bowl left tackle Marcus McNeil.

Good luck

I picked up mcfadden this week just for this match up. He had nice game last week vs a much better team. Oakland will get the ball often.
