QB and WR help, WHIR!

Postby BearsFan65 » Tue Sep 14, 2010 11:38 am

12 team PPR league, start QB, 2RB, 3WR, TE, DST, K. My roster (matchup):

QB - E Manning (@IND), K Orton (v SEA)
RB - ADP (v MIA), R Mathews (v JAX), A Foster (@WAS)
WR - R White (v ARI), D Bowe (@CLE), M Floyd (v JAX), J Gaffney (v SEA), Jac Jones (@WAS)
TE - Z Miller (v STL)
DEF - NYJets (v NE)
K - R Gould (@DAL)

Mathews was pretty uninspiring last night, and while I don't see 231/3 again for Foster, I think he's the better play until Mathews gets into the flow of things. My two questions are at QB and WR:

1. Indy is a decent pass defense, but Eli did a good job against Carolina last week. Ignore the matchup and start Eli?
2. Roddy White is a must start every week. Bowe has a good matchup and Floyd should benefit from a pissed off Philip Rivers and a really good matchup. I wouldn't consider starting Jacoby here, would I? I know Houston will throw more this week, but.....can't see that being a better play.

WHIR, thanks!

I could be WAYYY off the mark here but as I don't work till 5 this afternoon I am agonizing over roster moves to tweak my team. I honestly think the Broncos offense is better than most think. Their system is a pass first system. Anyhow, the POINT of this is that I am pretty high on Bronco receivers right now. I think Gaffney, Loyd and Royal, getting it spread around, will have nice days against Seattle. Yes, Seattle ripped it up this first week. I just don't buy them as that good of a D and with the Broncos spreading the field and passing, I think they will get some big points, win or lose.

In KC, I thought last night Chambers is more of a target than Bowe (at least in that first week), but nothing like Cleveland D to get someone going...

Anyhow, I grabbed Orton off the WW and will put him at flex for my team this week as I have Brady starting. I see you don't have a flex, but Gaffney starting wouldn't be awful, in my mind anyhow and Orton might be a nice starter this week against the Seahawks, who ranked 30th in pass defense last year...

Overall, I have no idea what to tell you to do :p hahahaha
