I had my eye on Naanee as a sleeper in my 10-team PPR league, but he went undrafted, so I figured I'd just keep tabs on him. But after his performance last night, I didn't want to risk losing him, so I snatched him up. The only problem (and I'll admit it's a good one to have) is that there are no obvious candidates to drop. So as a temporary measure, I dropped my D, which gives me a few extra days. But I have to make a decision before Sunday to drop someone. Here are my options:
Naanee -- good offense, seemed to have good chemistry with Rivers last night, VJax isn't coming back anytime soon. OTOH, his numbers were inflated by a long TD catch where he was left completely uncovered. That won't happen every week.
Aromashodu -- so-so offense, seemed to be Cutler's top target this past week. Then again, Chicago hasn't had a true startable WR1 in a long time.
Wallace -- basically had one long catch Sunday. But he's Pittsburgh's only deep threat, and has an even bigger upside when Ben comes back.
I feel pretty good about my starting WRs (Austin and SSmith 2.0), so I'm mostly just looking for someone who can be a good bye-week fill-in and/or has the potential to blow up into a WR1.
Add that all up and I'm leaning toward dropping Devin, based on the quality of his offense (also just realized he has the same bye week as Austin, which means he can't be a fill-in).
Any thoughts?
