Standard Yahoo waiver times??

Postby cnewby » Tue Sep 14, 2010 9:02 pm

Off the wall question, I know. But what time EST should I set my alarm for to go after players clearing waivers in Yahoo standard settings? Thanks ;-D

I think he's trying to avoid using waiver priority/FAAB and pounce on the players who weren't claimed. I'm not sure of the exact time but I lived on the West Coast last year and I remember being able to get a jump on East Coast league by getting on their at 2-3 in the morning WST while they were all still sleeping. I would guess 3 or 4am EST. Just set your alarm for 3 and check it. If it hasn't gone through yet, set your alarm for 4 and go back to sleep. Keep doing this every hour until they go through.

When you get a chance could you help me with my question:

I found this thread doing a google search and have a major issue with how this is done in Yahoo leagues.

I am in a CBS league as well and you can actually set the time the waivers are processed, meaning you can set it for Wednesday at noon so everyone gets a fair chance at picking up unclaimed players.

This is a MAJOR problem. This automatically gives those night owls with no jobs in your league an advantage. I can't afford to stay up to 2-3 am every Tuesday night so I can try to grab unclaimed players.

And Yahoo does not give you an option as a commissioner to set the time the waivers process, leading to unfair advantages.

PURE YAHOO FAIL.

If you agree please reply and sign with (/username), perhaps I can tweet this to Brad Evans or Funston or Yahoo support.

Thanks guys.
