Take Your Pick: Greene/LT or Williams/Stewart? WHIR

Postby Wags » Tue Sep 14, 2010 9:27 pm

I'm looking at swapping RBs with another team in my league to secure our back-up positions. 8-team, basic rules.

Which one would you rather have? DeAngelo Williams & Jonathan Stewart or Shonn Greene & LT?

Rosters are below, leave your link and I'll lend a help hand! Thanks!

MY TEAM
QB- Joe Flacco
RB- MJD, Shonn Greene, Arian Foster, Jonathan Stewart, Marion Barber, Ricky Williams
WR- Randy Moss, Roddy White, Dwayne Bowe, Jeremy Maclin, Derrick Mason
TE- Jermichael Finley
D- Eagles, Cardinals
K- Mason Crosby
I'll hopefully be picking up Brandon Jackson off the waiver wire

HIS TEAM
QB- Peyton Manning, Brett Favre
RB- DeAngelo Williams, LeSean McCoy, Chester Taylor, LaDainian Tomlinson, Beanie Wels, CJ Spiller
WR- Andre Johnson, Wes Welker, DeSean Jackson, Dez Bryant, Laurent Robinson

I'd place my bets with Greene and LT. Greene is going to get it going eventually, but LT is coming in motivated and feeling a little disrespected. I like what LT can give you in terms of receptions and think this duo will be a productive one.

I tend to disagree with the post above me. Yes the LT/Greene combo may give you more total points on the season (very debatable) but you arent going to start both every week. If you are looking for which combo gives you a clear cut stud fantasy RB to start, I think it is Williams/Stewart in a landslide. One of those guys is going down with an injury at some point and when that happens, the other will emerge as a top 5 RB especially with the piss poor QB play Moore has shown in week 1.

Interesting question.

I like the Carolina side a little better. As the poster above mentioned, I think DWilliams is the best player in this scenario, and Stewart is startable in most leagues. Plus the combo is a little more proven. (though it's hard to say that given the Jets recent success running and LT's.. career)

Man that's tough though. Pretty easy to make a case either way. 8-o

So taking another look at this one, since you have Greene and he has Williams, I would say you should definitely try and trade him Greene for Williams, regardless of who has LT/Stewart.
