Major Waiver pickup

Postby TheBull » Tue Sep 14, 2010 11:54 pm

I have the #2 waiver in a 12 team league...The owner with the 3rd waiver just lost Grant for the season..

Here is my squad: I am 1-0

QB-Kolb-Dont have a backup as of now
RB-Gore/Foster/R.Brown/L.McCoy
WR-Colston/S.Smith (car)/Maclin/Jac.Jones/Naanee/V.Jackson
TE-V.Davis
D-Pitt
K-Prater

Do i try and get Brandon Jackson with waiver or do i go for a QB like Vick? Or just not use a waiver and hope a guy like Orton isnt claimed....Other QB's on the "wire" are D.Anderson/M.Hasselbeck/Dixon/Cassel/Palmer

I am in a similar position. I have the #2 waiver and I could use Vick because I have Matt Ryan as my quarterback. But I'm not going to use my #2 wavier because its just so early in the season, Vick may only be the starter for a game or two for sure, and Jackson doesn't have a high YPC while GB is expected to bring in a RB. I could be totally wrong and Vick or Jackson could go on to have stud seasons, but I would save your waiver and assuming Vick doesn't make it through waivers, pick up Anderson.

i'd defintly pick up brandon jackson if number 1 waiver is crazy anuff not too, he is the only rb on one of the best offenses in the nfl, you'd be crazy to pass him up....you could use him to get a upgrade at wr, steve smith's qb looked garbage, i have steve smith and i'm trying to sell high on him cus he managed a td last week...and colston is in a position were he's just in a offense that has too many options...i'd get brandon jackson and try to trade up to a roddy white, reggie wayne, or miles austin.

vick might only be in for one week, his coach has said over and over that kolb is his #1, they just payed kolb, they'll probable give him every chance to keep his job.....i'd defintly try to pick up brandon jackson, but if the #1 takes him then, i'd take vick but i would not drop kolb.

so you either take brandon jackson, and then orton or anderson(which ever one falls to you, that you rather)(id drop naanee, and jacoby)
or
you take mike vick (drop naanee)

keep kolb in both cases.
