Lost Grant and Lost waiver claim on Bjackson. So now what?

Postby Millcity_Maniac » Wed Sep 15, 2010 9:58 am

14 team league standard scoring. Start QB, WR, WR, WR, RB, RB, TE, K, DEF.

I had Grant and McCoy and Hightower. We know what happened to Grant and I lost the waiver war on Jackson. Whose better option going forward? I'm pretty much down to Hillis or Taylor. Who would you take or anyone else I should look for.

Cpl avail RBs:

Peyton Hillis (Cle)
Fred Taylor (NE)
Maroney (Den)
Donald Brown (Ind)
Steve Slaton (Ten)

Leave a link and ill take a look. Thanks!

I'm in the same boat..

If I were in your position I would actually go with Hillis.. If you could free up one more roster spot it would be worth picking up Taylor as well, but even with Maroney going to Denver, New England is a Pass first team and Belicheck will utilize all of his RB's on any given day. Taylor is also prone to injury.. Hillis is young and Cleveland is going for broke.. I think he has more upside over the long haul.

Of course, if Addai goes down Brown is the clear favorite.. but that's not the case (yet). Hillis should get you the most immediate impact.

Hillis or Taylor are your best bets, in that order. I personally picked up Hillis.

I'd target Hillis for some immediate results and then take a gamble on Donald Brown. Addai is not the healthiest of backs, so Brown could pay dividends late in the year (plus, if Indy sews up the division early, look for Brown to get more action late, during play-off time).

14 team league, did you not handcuff? Try and trade if you have any depth at another position.

Peyton Hillis baby! I grabbed him too, and I'm not worried about him landing in the doghouse due to the fumbles. Here's a Cleveland sports writer giving ol' Hillis some slack: http://www.cleveland.com/dman/index.ssf ... revie.html

Hey man, I'm in the same boat, and Taylor got picked up, I already have Harrison, so I grabbed Hillis.

I thought I was set for the season at RB, damn this sucks. I'm going to keep a close eye on who else GB adds this week, and maybe get a couple of roster spots for the back RB's and hope Jackson at least shares time with someone.

Thanks for all the replies. I know I'm not a handcuff guy. So I just said screw it and grabbed both Taylor and Hillis. I dropped Rob Gronkowski from NE and of course grant. I have Shaincoe @ TE so I figure to either bite the bullet on his bye week or I'll have someone I can let go to grab a fill in.
