How much did Brandon Jackson go for in your waiver auction?

Figured a single thread with final prices might be helpful.

... In my league, I blew my load, spent $100 of $100.

I, too, "blew my load" on my waiver claim. 100 out of 100.

First off, my RBs in a 12 team league:

J Charles
J Harrison
C Williams
J Forcett
F Taylor

So obviously I need help with my RBs big time. (My starting WRs are A Johnson, R Moss and G Jennings, and my QB is Schaub)

So now for the rest of the year I will have to rely on FA pickups, but I feel much better about my backfield for at least the immediate future. Unfortunately the next closest bid was $48. (5 out of 12 teams bid on him) BJax was the only player with multiple bids this week, so I guess every player selected was overbid on, and 4 guys underbid on BJax. If it doesn't work out, I could be in trouble, but the way my backs were looking I was already in trouble this year.

My RBs actually weren't terrible (though I did stupidly pick Michael Turner with my first round (#6) pick in a PPR league ... [I had just returned from a month-long vacation and neglected to review league rules -- Yes, I'm an idiot]

But I had:

Michael Turner (RB1)
Jonathan Stewart (RB2)
Tim Hightower (WR/RB/TE)

... and then no depth.

But the person with Grant had zero RB depth and strength at QB, so I'm hoping to upgrade. Worst case, I've got trade bait and greater RB depth now. Jackson obviously cracks the starting lineup, and Hightower will lose touches to Beanie soon (not to mention his two bonehead fumbles).

Yeah I would say you have a depth need, and like you mentioned, it's nice having trade bait.

My thought is if I was drafting today, I would probably start to look at Jackson in the third round, or about a round after Grant was going. I don't see him being too far off from Grant talent-wise, and he's now going to be the feature back in a great offense, so I like his chances of being productive. McCarthy also said he thinks of Jackson as a 3-down back, so hopefully the job is his to lose.

And yep, he's definitely going into my starting lineup this week. I'm thinking the Packers take an early lead and run with it. (lame pun intended) ;-D
