DILEMMA!...WHIR

Postby jhus849 » Wed Sep 15, 2010 1:21 pm

So I was fortunate enough to get Jackson in free agency this week and that is great but now I got a problem at running back. I was set on starting Mcfadden this week because they play the sorry Rams. I may still start Mcfadden over Matthews...Here is my lineup. 10 team league...NON PPR

QB: Romo
RB: Gore vs. Saints
RB: Brandon Jackson vs Bills
RB: Ryan Matthews vs Jaguars
WR: Randy Moss @. Jets
WR: Dasean Jackson @ Lions
TE: Witten
D/ST: Steelers
K: John Kasay or Tynes

BE: Darren Mcfadden vs. RAMS!
BE: Cadillac Williams vs. Panthers
BE: Addai vs. Giants
BE Dez Bryant vs. Bears
BE: Jeremy Maclin @ Lions
BE: Tim Hightower @ Falcons
BE: Santonio Holmes..............Ready for his return

Let me know what you think. WHIR!!

Thanks!

If we're going strictly by matchups, you have to play Jackson and McFadden this week. They both play inferior run defenses. But then again Ryan Matthews was the guy you drafted early and he doesn't necessarily have a bad matchup either. But also consider the fact that he was benched the entire 4th quarter vs the Chiefs in favor of Sproles and that other big back whos name is escaping me at the moment. That's not a good sign. And I have Matthews on my team too and would love to be biased and say "Start Matthews all the way", but you gotta play the matchups..

I have a similar dilemma if you can help me out... http://www.fantasyfootballcafe.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=473841

I would stick with B. Jackson and R. Matthews. They are both playing on relatively solid offenses and should see significant touches. D. McFadden has a favorable match up, but the Oakland offense still stinks. If they happen to fall behind, J. Campbell may be forced to throw.

I would make 2 changes:

1) Take out Brandon Jackson and put in McFadden. Buffalo is a terrible team, especially on offense. They are complete garbage on offense. But to be honest their defense is actually OK and Brandon Jackson isn't that good. I expect GB to throw all day, and Kuhn will get goalline carries. McFadden produced last week and should once again get the majority carries against a pretty bad St. Louis team.

2) Put in Dez Bryant! Take out Desean Jackson until Kolb comes back. Vick will be rushing and taking some pass out of the offense. He is a good QB, just not for wide receivers. Dez is a freak and was targeted the most on the entire Dallas offense. He is going to be huge this year.

Stick with what you have at RB. You can't judge your players based on one week of football. Lets not forget that Ryan Matthews was running in pouring rain which doesn't help. I thought he ran hard, I thought he just had tough luck with the fumble and then he got benched. He'll bounce back at home against the Jags. I think you should put in Dez Bryant as well, and bench DeSean Jackson. Mike Vick isn't gonna get him the ball like Kolb can.

Help me with mine:
