Vick's trade value

Postby ocbc » Wed Sep 15, 2010 3:31 pm

I am a fortunate owner of Kolb and I backed him up with Rothesburger. So, I need a QB this week. I currently picked up D. Anderson to fill in. Vick was taken by an owner just to get a trade value out of me so I am trying to return the favor by coming out on top. Standard scoring league with 6 pts per PATD. We start 2RB and 2 WR

roster
RB's - J. Charles, R. Mathews, B. Wells, M barber, D. Brown
Wr's - A. Johnson, Wes Welker, Sims Walker, J. Knox, Jacoby Jones

Heres the offer:

My Wells/ Sims walker for his S. Greene/ Vick

My thinking is that I can by low on Greene and I dont 'really' need sims-walker. Vick is a 1-2 week replacement, but upgrading with Greene as my #3 is nice. I am not worried about LT too much in the long run and this is a 3 man keeper league. Your thoughts? Or should I just roll with D. Anderson this week and hope for the best with Kolb?

Thanks,
WHIR

If they take this offer then I would do it in a heart beat. I'm not sure they will go for it after the bad week Simms-Walker had, but if they are desperate for wr help he may do it. I wouldn't give up too much to get Vick and may ride with Anderson for the week and hope he can throw a td or two for you. Good luck.

I would probably do it. My only reservation is that Vick's long term value is very small. I like the Greene upgrade but getting Vick back doesn't do too much.

I would say definitely do it. I feel like every site I read on, people are hating on greene after only ONE week. He's on a great team and he's gonna get a lot of touches. So if you can get him, do it for sure.

i think its close to a wash. vicks value will be very minimal, especially once kold returns. anderson isn't a bad qb, just inconsistent, but he has a ton of weapons. however, i would definately consider greene an upgrade over wells, and MSW is a guy i never put too much stock into. especially with a qb who some weeks will only pass for 100 yds. i think greene is the best player in the deal, beanie the 2nd best. both are in some sort of time share. but beanie shares time with another young rb. greene shares time with an old vet. i say hold where you are, try and sell beanie and MSW when they have more value. you would be buying low on greene, but beanie may as well produce just as good

You can take this trade. The only weeks you'd start MSW is for the 2 bye weeks of your other guys. But an upgrade at RB from Wells to Greene is significant enough to overcome the possible lost points during the bye weeks.

if he accepts great, however i would honestly say that

MSW+Wells for Greene = Trade Rape
nevermind asking for vick as well
