So I put it up on the forums that anyone can have any WR if they offer the right RB, so someone replies they will give me Shonn Greene, but didn't specify what WR they want. I'm trying to think if this can work, and if I even want Shonn Greene. Which WR should I offer for Shonn Greene?
my RBs: McCoy, Bradshaw, Cadillac, B.Jacobs, F.Jackson my WRs: B.Marshall, G.Jennings, J.Maclin, M.Williams (SEA), J.Jones (HOU), Naanee, M.Clayton (STL)
I would start by offering a mid level RB and WR for Greene, and go from there. Clayton and Naanee are both big time sell-high's after week one, and you can see if he'll take a consolation in someone like Jacobs or Caddy. It's only been one week, so don't go nuts - only make a move if it clearly improves your squad. If he's offering you Greene after week 1, he's probably disgusted at the Jets offensive showing against Baltimore, so it's a good time to buy low if the deal's right.
naanee has very high value. i'd hang on to him and marshall
PPR, Start: QB, 2RB, 2WR, RB/WR, TE, K, TM QB: Orton RB: S Jax, Addai, Wells, Blount, R. Bush, T. Jones WR: A. Johnson, R. Moss, M. Wallace, Smith (Car), Britt, A Gonzalez TE: Gates K: Vinateri TM: Jets
I wouldnt trade for greene until you see how this week plays out for him. If he stinks it up again forget about it, hell even if he splits carriers 50/50 forget it. He needs to have a firm command on the starting spot to trade for.
Yeah, I'm looking at it, and I want to improve my running backs, but I just don't see Greene as an improvement. I'll have to wait for a better spot. See, pre-draft, my idea was to load up on WRs so I can trade for better RBs down the road, but my RBs did okay for me week 1 so I don't even know if I have to do that.
