Stashing Sidney Rice?

Postby teezy33 » Thu Sep 16, 2010 11:06 am

My WR's are Andre Johnson and Randy Moss, and I have T.O. and Santonio Holmes on my bench. After the awful showing by the Jets, and the suspension, I'm thinking about dropping Holmes, but it's not like I need that much WR depth, because I'm going to start Moss and Johnson every week. Should I pick up Rice and stash him until he's healthy, looking to maybe trade him once he comes back? If I pick up another WR like Clayton or Royal off waivers, I'm not going to start them over my WR's, so they'd just sit on my bench anyway...

I think that if you're going to drop Holmes (which I say isn't too bad of a move), you should go for Clayton or Royal over Rice. With Rice being out so long it's almost useless to have him, because even when he comes back, we don't know if he's going to be 100% with Favre and all. I think I like Clayton's situation better against Royal, but it's a close call for me.

true clayton and royal will never make it into your lineup and neither will ever be a large bargaining chip this season. seems like stashing sidney might be pretty low risk given your circumstance at WR and maybe by week 10 hes someone you can move in a trade deadline deal
