RB overload

Postby gocards » Thu Sep 16, 2010 1:38 pm

This is about the worst problem to have, but I have 5 starting RBs on my roster and I am not sure who to use as my 3rd for this week.

S Jackson v Oakland is locked in.

I also have:

Mendenhall v Tenn
Foster v Wash
Bradshaw v Indy
B Jackson v Buf.

I don't think I will start B Jackson as I want to see what the Packers will do with him. They may just turn into the Eagles and throw the ball 70 times a game. If it weren't for the long TD run to end the game last week Mendenhall would have been terrible, but the Falcons have a decent D. Bradshaw is the starter and is playing the Colts, which is always a nice match-up for a RB. Foster was ridiculous last week but the Redskins D is going to be much different than the Colt he went against last weekend.

Right now I am thinking Jackson, Foster and Bradshaw.

I am thinking now I will start Jackson, Foster and Bradshaw.

What do you all think?

We have a similar problem. For yours, I'd roll with SJax, Foster and Bradshaw. The only thing that slows me down on Bradshaw is that he'll lose touches to Jacobs, so the juicy matchup gets tempered a little bit. Meantime, Buffalo has a crappy run defense and BJax has no competition for touches. And he is a good receiver, so he'll get some of those 70 passes thrown his way.

Ok, I've talked myself into it. SJax, Foster, BJax. And if Bradshaw goes off on the Colts, you can slap me next week.

I would go Jackson-Bradshaw-Jackson.

Jackson GB is at home and Foster is on the road. I also think Houston will open up the passing attack. The other side of that argument is the Texans might get an early lead and keep the ball on the ground.

Not an easy choice.

seeing what Foster did ... can you really bench Bradshaw? or same question goes to ask.. can you bench foster?

Gut feeling says Foster, but statistics say Bradshaw, it'd be a lot easier to say if NYG didn't have a RBBC.

so with that said, your last slot should goto jackson. Despite what some of these fantasy websites are predicting for Aaron Rodgers, Bills are actually good against the pass. Expect Jackson to find holes and top 90 yards and at least 1 TD

S-Jax - no brainer
Bradshaw - We all know what Foster did to Indy, and it looks like that Bradshaw is the primary RB in NY.
Jackson - I thinkin about Jackson the same as you do, but the Bills have a very good secondary, and they will miss their primary runstopper ILB Posluszny, so Jackson will produce, while I dont think that I can say that about Mendenhall and Foster. Houston will face a better defense this time, and the win will be in the hands of Schaub and André

Thanks everyone so far.

Do the Giants really have a RBBC though? Jacobs didn't get one carry in a blow out win. He wasn't hurt AFAIK, so is he really threat to Bradshaw's carries?

I like SJAX, Foster (too good last week not to start) (although I'm pondering myself as well) and BJAX. I'm like a previous and not certain what's up in the NYG backfield.
