Last week just proved it again.
This week I need to start 2 RBs again, and I could use some educated help.
Here are the contenders for those spots on my team:
Michael Turner
seems like a no brainer, but the O-line wasnt able to open up anything for him last week. It was the steel curtain, but Arizona is playing 3-4 def too, that gives the Falcons O-Line all sorts of problems. I dont think its a great matchup as many thinks. And hope that their 44 pass attempts last week was the result of facing the Steelers and a new blackbird habit. So he is not a slamdunk.
Jonathan Stewart
very nice matchup on paper. too bad that he had very nice matchup last week too, when he had 5 carries. Will the panthers revert to a running team, or they screw up again? If they decide to run 40 times as they should, JS could be very good.
Darren McFadden
DMC showed that he can put up points on the board in this Raider offense, via ground and air.
The Rams are soft
Bush will be back this weekend, and coach said they will split carries, but pass catching probaly goes to MCD. He should produce, but he hasnt got the upside of Stewart, Hightower or Hillis.
Tim Hightower
Beanie Wells could be back, but coaching staff was impressed more with Timmy until he lost the rock twice last week. He can block and he is the passcatcher of the the RBs, on the team that threw the ball 40 times vs the bad Rams rundef.
Payton Hillis
Harrison destroyed KC last year 286 yds 3 TDs, but he has split carries w Hillis last week and Hillis is the goalline back, but Harrison proved it that can do it himself. And Hillis had two fumbles last week.
He is a hit or miss.
Thomas Jones
Another team that has 2 RBs getting the same amount of touches. Jamal Charles might be everybodys darling after next years big run, in the KC backfield, but this year Jones will take the role of the power back, while Charles will mostly score only on long runs, as he is the outside runner in this Thunder and Lighning combo.
Jones might have a huge day vs Cleveland.
as I said, any educated input is appreciated.
