RB Help.... Benson, B. Jackson, or McCoy

Postby Vandy263 » Thu Sep 16, 2010 6:10 pm

so i'm starting Deangelo Williams for sure. Need two more from the next three: Benson vs Ravens, B Jackson vs Bills, or L Mccoy vs Detroit.

Leaning towards sitting Benson, but my issue is Benson's past vs. Ravens and McCoy dealing with that damn Vick in Philly by which they may not make as much use????????

Thoughts? WHIR!

Jackson definitely fills one of the spots. Your second spot is tough but I think you gotta go with Benson. He tore them up last year and if you watched Mondays game you saw that LT actually did pretty decent running the ball against Bal. I believe he almost averaged 5 yards a carry. Granted Shon Greene wasn't that good but I'm not a real believer in him anyways. Also Cin's passing game is definitely better than NYJ's which should only open things up more for Benson. With Philly I could see a 50-50 split in carries between Vick and McCoy where you'll probably see Benson handle the ball over 20 times.

agreed here. however, I think I would have to bench benson here. i am usually a fan of sticking with high draft choices when it comes to matchup choices, but in this case I think I go with McCoy. the ravens D is just that much better than the lions D IMO. McCoy should have many opportunities to get in the endzone, which should make 1 score very likely. he also put up 82 all purpose yards against a pretty good packers D when he only had 7 rushing attempts. it is unlikely that the eagles get way behind early and are forced to pass every down against the lions and their backup QB. in fact, the opposite is likely, where the eagles are up big by the end of the game, and they continuously hand off to mccoy to chew up game clock. i guess this was a bit long-winded, but I would roll with McCoy and Jackson here. :-)

please help me out if you can... viewtopic.php?f=19&t=474473
