Need Help w/ 2 Flex Spots

Postby N.E. Challengers » Fri Sep 17, 2010 7:23 am

Having a hard time deciding who to use in the Flex spots. PPR league w/ 6 pts. any TD

Starters
QB: Ryan (@ARI)
RB: Charles(@CLE), Bradshaw (@IND)
WR: Andre Johnson (@WAS), Wayne (NYG)
TE: Finley (BUF)
RB/WR Flex: ?
TE/WR Flex: ?

Bench: Schaub (@WAS), Harrison (KC), Best (PHI), Witten (CHI), Gaffney (SEA), Aromashadu (@DAL), Floyd (JAX), Lloyd (SEA) & Jacoby Jones (@WAS)

For Week 2, how would you rank Floyd, Lloyd and Gaffney? I am leaning towards Floyd and Lloyd.

Alternatively, at the second spot, I could start Witten. With the way DAL played last week, I think Romo is really going to air it out. I just don't know if Witten will be the benefactor of the targets (Miles, Dez).

Finally, would anyone start Schaub over Ryan this week?

Thanks in advance for anyone that helps. Leave me a link and I will help you with yours.

witten will get his targets if they get close to the red zone, but finley home vs buff is a must
id only play schuab cause of his better receivers,

i expect hou to air the ball out, so schaub I would start. I think atl will actually run the ball more so it is more of a plus for schaub.

As for your two flex, I would start floyd, and maybe even gaffeny he could have a huge game with denver throwing alot.

i would say go with schaub this week. he has better recievers and should be fired up after the dissapointment last week. i would also lean to floyd and loyd as Best has a target on his back because of his high value from last weeks game.

i dont know how to post my topic link but it's trade mcoy/clayton for best/loyd? under the trade forum

I'd start Floyd and Witten in the two flex spots. Don't like any of the RB matchups, and Romo isn't forgetting about Witten any time soon. Would also start Schaub ahead of Ryan. It's possible that HOU runs the ball a little more than you'd think, but Schaub has better receivers and they will want to get that passing game jump started sooner than later. Good luck!

I'd play Schaub over Ryan as well, if Washington decides to gear upto stop Foster Schaub will absolutely pick them apart.

For your flexes, I'd go Floyd and Harrison (286/3/2/12 last time he faced the Chiefs)

Not on board with the advice to start Schaub here. Houston may win that game (hope not! :-) ), but Washington is a tough D and it won't be an easy matchup for them. Ryan meanwhile is going up against a defense that made Sam Bradford look decent in his first NFL start. I'm not saying Schaub would be an outright mistake and I do get why he's got some votes -- he's definitely a good enough player to produce against any team and I'd have him ranked ahead of Ryan on average -- I just think Ryan's the better start this week IMHO.

As for the other questions, I'd go with Best at the first flex spot. Lions will at least try to run more with Stafford out, though they may be forced to pass if/when they fall behind.

And I'd go with Floyd at the second flex spot. 12 targets in Week 1 is being hidden by the poor 3-catch performance, but he'll produce if he keeps getting that many looks.

I would go floyd vs a weak jax secondary for flex #1. For the TE/WR flex, I like witten. dallas should be a high powered offense this year, and witten should have plenty of scoring opportunities.

as far as QBs, I don't think you should bench Shaub. Shaub led the league in passing last year with 4,770 yards. He would be a must-start for me every week, regardless of matchups.

You have to start Shaub. No way he should ever be on the bench. Also, I would go with Best and Witten. Unlike some of the other posters, I think Jax will have their way with SD. I don't have much faith in Floyd, Lloyd, or JJ.

help with mine?

I'd go with Floyd and Jones in the flex's. Both are onboard very powerful offenses and there is nothing scary about the matchups.

Thanks for mine.
