Hey all. I got a handful of mediocre players to fill 3 slots. Standard scoring, non-PPR. Position doesn't matter. Which 3 should I start?
Michael Crabtree vs NO
Felix Jones vs CHI
Jacoby Jones @ WAS
Malcolm Floyd vs JAC
Fred Taylor @ NYJ
Michael Crabtree looked awful and out of sync with Smith, but he is one of my most talented options. New Orleans was effective against the pass in their opener, but did surrend 247.6 receiving yards a game last year. This was Crabtree's worst professional game, and that can't sit well. I expect the Niners to get down Monday Night and throw the ball
Felix Jones produced decent value out of his 10 touches, but the problem was just that. All he saw was 10 touches. He also only touched the ball once (a 2 yard reception) in opponent territory. Hard to get into the endzone under those parameters.
Jacoby Jones. This one is tough for me to gauge. The Texans went away from the pass this past week when Arian Foster had his hey-day. Kevin Walter got the score that many expected form Jones. The Redskins secondary is average.
Malcolm Floyd has his thunder stolen from him on MNF by Naanee, but Floyd was still the more targeted receiver. Jacksonville surrended a bunch of receiving TDs and yards in 2009, and didn't look sharp this weekend. Kyle Orton picked them apart and Phillip Rivers could do much of the same.
Fred Taylor had his situation improved this week with Maroney gettting shipped out to Denver, but after watching the Jets stuff the talented Ray Rice on MNF, I can't see Taylor having much value this weekend.
Leaning towards Michael Crabtree, Felix Jones and Malcolm Floyd at this point. Agree/Disagree with any of my points? Lemme know. Leave a link and I'll do my best to help you out.
