Starting 3 WRs...Which of my five?

Postby n-MITY » Fri Sep 17, 2010 2:30 pm

Hello again, been a busy past week and haven't had a chance to get back on here to read through more threads and participate. Barely squeaked out a Week 1 win and ready for another. This week I'm having trouble deciding on which of my WR's to start, particularly based on last week's performances. I'm in a 12-player non-PPR standard league.

My 5 wide receivers are:

-Andre Johnson (@ WAS)
-Mike Sims-Walker (@SD)
-Robert Meachem (@ SF)
-Mike Wallace (@ TEN)
-Nate Washington (vs. PIT)

Obviously I will be starting Andre Johnson, as well as Sims-Walker. Who should my #3 receiver be? Meachem might get open against the Niners, especially with the Niners solid run-defense. Not sold on Mike Wallace yet and Nate Washington looked good last week (albeit against the Raiders). Who would you start?

I like Mike Wallace over Robert Meachem, but only because I've been burned too many time for picking the wrong Saints receiver on Breesus' list every week. As bad as the 49ers were last week, I think they'll come out to play on Monday night to prove all the hype wasn't misplaced.

I think the Saints are going to blow out the 49ers, so I'd go with Meachem as your WR3. Every Saints wideout except for Henderson will have a TD. Like he always does after a big game, Hendo will post a big fat 0.0 just to punish anyone who tries to start him.

Watch for a possible big night from Lance Moore. I wouldn't be shocked if we're all waivering to get him on Tuesday.

I was wondering the same thing about Meachem. I feel like regardless of whether he blows up or not, he'll be putting up some decent numbers this week. But it could also be Mike Wallace's coming-out week as well, especially with the Titans D more than likely focusing most on Mendenhall.
