14 Team - Haven't played in 3 years and I missed the draft!

Postby bbka » Sat Sep 18, 2010 5:08 pm

I basically joined this league with some people from work at the last minute. I didn't have any time to do research and since I work Sunday's I don't even get to watch much football anymore. I set the first 14 players in my draft, the auto draft did the rest for me, and I am pretty happy with my results in such a big league. The last time I played I had Tom Brady when he threw 50 TD's, he carried me into the championship game undefeated where I lost. That sucked, so I'm looking to go all the way this year and win!

Any tips/advice will be great! I just signed up for this forum, so I have a lot of reading to do. After week 1, I'm in 1st place by 30 points and I'm guessing about half of the league hasn't done a thing since the draft. It's an NFL fantasy league and pretty basic rules/settings from what I can tell. Anyways on to my team.

London Silly Nannies - Starting lineup week 2

QB - Tony Romo (1st pick)
RB - Arian Foster (4th pick) Thank you auto draft! :)
RB - Ahmad Bradshaw (6th pick) Should do well against the Indy run defense
WR - Randy Moss (2nd pick) I know he is a slight risk this week
WR - Greg Jennings (3rd pick)
WR - Legedu Naanee (picked up before week 1) I'm either playing him or Breaston
TE - Brent Celek (5th pick)
K - Neil Rackers (picked up before week 1)
DEF - Green Bay Packers (8th pick)

Bench

RB - Marion Barber (10th pick)
RB - Darren Sproles (12th pick)
RB - Jerome Harrison (picked up before week 1) Can't believe somebody dropped him!
WR - Steve Breaston (7th pick)
WR - Jerricho Cotchery (11th pick)
WR - Brandon Lloyd (picked up before week 2) I had a RB to drop and he was the best WR available

Starting wise I like your roster mainly because it has risk. Who really knows if Foster will pan out as a top RB this year, same with Bradshaw, and if Naane will be what he was in week 1 all year long. I believe in Foster and I personally like Bradshaw, but I'm somewhat worried about Naane. My gut tells me there's no way he continues to be a major factor all year long. Good news for you is that you have Breaston and Harrison as backups for your WR/RB's, I like both of them a lot this year. Pretty good autopick draft, youre lucky
