Miles Austin for Hightower+DMC+S. Smith (Car) WHIR

8 Team League, PPR
Start QB, 2RB, 2WR, RB/WR, TE, K, D

My line-up:
QB - Brees, McNabb
RB - Forte, Mendenhall, Hillis, F. Jones, Portis, Sproles
WR - Austin, Welker, Breaston, S. Moss, Driver
TE - Cooley

I lost Ryan Grant.

He offered me: S. Smith (CAR)+DMC+Hightower
In Exchange for: M. Austin+Portis+Sproles

I feel this adds depth to my RB situation after losing Grant, but I'm not sure about DMC or Hightower, because although they have performed, Bush and Wells have been out.

Is the downgrade from Miles Austin to Steve Smith (CAR) worth it?
PPR, Start: QB, 2RB, 2WR, RB/WR, TE, K, TM
QB: Orton
RB: S Jax, Addai, Wells, Blount, R. Bush, T. Jones
WR: A. Johnson, R. Moss, M. Wallace, Smith (Car), Britt, A Gonzalez
TE: Gates
K: Vinateri
TM: Jets

I would say no to this deal. You lose out at wr with a big down grade from Austin to Smith and what you lose with that you won't gain with your rb's. I don't think that DMC is a big upgrade over Mendenhall. Stick with what you have for now.

No way. Hightower and McFadden are both the ultimate "sell high" candidates right now because both had 2 big weeks without the guys they'll be sharing carries with. Bush and Wells are going to make it so that you will not be able to rely on either of those guys every week.

Austin is a beast, and he gets targeted 15+ times a game (good for PPR). Honestly, once Bush and Wells are back, Portis is probably going to be a more reliable weekly starter than McFadden or Hightower (when Portis is healthy and playing).
