Good trade to offer? WHIR!!

Postby woowoo crew » Wed Sep 22, 2010 10:32 am

My league is very QB friendly. 1 pt. per completion; 1 pt. per 10 yds passing, rushing and receiving; 6 pt. TD, 1PPR; .5 per carry.
We start 2 QBs each week, and with 2 stud QBs, I can be one of the top scorers in my league. My QBs right now are: Brady, Vick, Kolb, and Anderson. I really wanted Rodgers this year. What do you think about this offer? (My team should be in my sig.)

I give Vick, Kolb, and Charles.
I get Rodgers and Pierre Thomas.

The guy said he'd consider it, and this was before Vick was named the starter, but also before Bush broke his leg. He might counter; not sure.

Do you think this is a good deal for me to try and obtain? Vick has more points than Rodgers so far in my league. I didn't play fantasy football when Vick was with Falcons, so I don't know what kind of points he put up. Both have solid receivers and the ability to run. Should I keep what I have or go for it before Rodgers has a monster game?

FYI, I offered Derek Anderson and Portis for Carson Palmer to another guy. (The guy with Reggie Bush.)
PPR for QB, RB, WR; 1 pt. per 10 yds.; 6 pt. TD; 1 pt. per 15 return yds.
QB: Stafford, Newton
RB: Spiller, Sproles
WR: VJax, Cobb
TE: Myers
W/R: Ridley
Bench: McCoy, Mathews, Bryce Brown, Kaepernick, B. Powell, Gronkowski

I agree with the above post, if you can do the trade then definitely do it. You would be getting the better end of the deal. Since its 1 pt/completion and 0.5 pts/rush, then WRs are the least valuable in my opinion. If you can help make the deal easier by maybe including a WR that upgrades one of his, but also is not Tier 1, AJ, Wayne, Austin, Moss, etc. then I would try that. The upgrade from your second QB to Rodgers and downgrading one of your WR is worth the tradeoff.

Yeah, if the team is willing to do that trade (which...I'm not sure why they would) then do it in a heartbeat. Rodgers is THE elite fantasy QB

Do it if you can - he probably won't be interested in Kolb now that he's a backup, but with your scoring format getting Rogers would be huge, and giving up vick & Charles is pretty cheap to get him.

Thanks for the help on mine.

If he'll go for it, you absolutley do that trade. But I gotta be honest, that trade is horrible for him. I'd be surprised if he accepted.

Help with mine please:

Vick is a fantasy beast because of his rushing yards....with that being said A Rod gets alot of rushing yards as well. I say go for it. Who knows what is gonna happen with Charles this year cause Haley is an idiot. At least with PT you don't have to worry about him getting carries.

I agree with the others and would do this trade if given a chance. Wow...having Rodgers and Brady with that scoring format would be huge. I am one that believes Vick will do great things this year though so if it doesn't happen you still should be in good shape.
