so i just posted about this one the packer forum and they believe that signing a running back to the practice squad means nothing. Apparently the eagles picked up one of their practice squad running backs. Still not sure if this will go through... ted doesnt like giving up draft picks and seems like this should have already have been a done deal if it was getting done.

Lets not forget the Packers drafted James Starks, a guy they seem to think has a lot of potential. He was battling a minor injury, and would've been available in week 2 or 3, but the Pack decided to stash him on PUP instead.

Thompson is a pretty conservative guy, he may be willing to wait until week 6 until he gets the guy he drafted back.

Coach Chan Gailey indicated that Marshawn Lynch will "play a lot this week" against the Patriots.
"He ran the ball pretty good [last week]," said Gailey. "You could tell he was rusty from last year not having played a ton and getting back into it this year." Gailey conceded that he was "unfair" in putting so much on C.J. Spiller's plate so early, so Lynch's increased playing time appears to be more than just a showcase for a trade. This remains a timeshare effort, however, so Lynch is a poor fantasy play this week.
