Looking to trade for Romo WHIR

Postby blackbus36 » Wed Sep 22, 2010 6:09 pm

12 team, no ppr, 1 flex, 6 pt qb td

The Vick decision has pretty much crippled my team. I'm deep at RB but really desperate for a QB. The guy in the worst shape RB wise has Romo and Orton so they're my two targets (clearly would prefer Romo). What should I offer? I don't really want to get into too much negotiating as the guy doesn't pay a ton of attention to the league. Too much negotiating and a deal probably wouldn't get done by Sunday.

My Team:
QB - Kolb, Garrard
RB - Gore, Forte, Bradshaw, McFadden, JStew
WR - Wayne, Sims-Walker, Floyd
TE - Gonzalez
D - Cowboys
K - Vinatieri

His Team:
QB - Romo, Orton
RB - P. Thomas, Forsett, Slaton, Huggins, Grant (see what I mean on paying attention? He's still on his bench)
WR - Fitz, Henderson, Wallace, Harvin
TE - Daniels
D - 49ers
K -Gostkowski

you could package forte and bradshaw for his romo and maybe a backup receiver or qb.

Maybe I'm overvaluing my guys a bit, but giving up Forte and Bradshaw seems like too much. I was thinking something more along the lines of Forte/Stewart/Floyd for Romo/Wallace/Huggins.

I want a deal that he'll accept first time out, but that I'm not selling the farm on. If I have to go to a second round of negotiations I don't think it gets done.

i'd offer garrard and bradshaw for romo. i think if you get into trying to throw in a ton of guys in the deal, then you asking to start a negotiation war, which you're trying to avoid. if he doesn't pay attention, i say keep it simple. another idea is to offer garrard, bradshaw, and mcfadden for romo and thomas, but that would be unlikely i think.

thanks for your advice on mine.

I'd try to package one of your RB (plus another maybe) for the qb of your choice. I'm not sure you can get much for JStew right now. I'd prefer Gore at this point since he should be a machine for the Niners. Try to trade Bradshaw or McFadden as their stock is pretty high right now. As for what he'll accept, that will determine how much/little you have to give up.

Thanks for help with mine, first off.

If he doesn't pay too much attention, you should hopefully be able to get off a little bit easy. I think Garrard/Bradshaw for Romo is, but you could also look into McFadden instead of Bradshaw and see if that works. McFadden will probably cool off when his counterpart returns, which makes Bradshaw the better kept RB, imo.

yea i agree with everyone here, package together one of your qbs most likely garrard bc kolb isnt starting. since the owner doesnt pay attention maybe he wouldnt notice a package of kolb and mcfadden for romo. definatly try to keep it simple by offereing mcfadden with somoene else for just romo.

please help with mine..
