HIS Brees for MY Miles Austin - WHIR

Postby Hurley916 » Wed Sep 22, 2010 6:47 pm

I have Orton and Alex Smith as my QBs right now (Had Kolb unfortunately). He really wants Miles Austin. I have Malcolm Floyd, Steve Smith (NYG), Devin Hester, and James Jones as my other WRs...

Should I do it? I could try to trade for a decent WR afterwards with Mendenhall (don't really need him too much anymore).

Thanks!

I wouldn't do it. I actually think orton will be OK and the drop off at WR for you is huge. I think that highly of Ausitn. My guess is, others will say to grab Brees, but I would look at who you will be playing at WR. If you think you can swing a deal with a RB to get another good WR, then that could work.

help?

it depends on your league scoring. but, i would do it, even without knowing your scoring. even if it's a TD only league, the qb is in the best position to get you a TD, and with brees, he'll basically guarantee you 2 TDs a week. with bush out, he'll likely be throwing even more, if that's possible. i agree that you'll be very weak at WR, but if you can trade mendenhall for a top WR, then it all pans out for you.
