WR help, WHIR

Postby BearsFan65 » Wed Sep 22, 2010 10:34 pm

PPR league, 15 yds rec = 1 pt. Need to start 3 WR from this group:

Roddy White (@ NO)
Dwayne Bowe (v SF)
Malcom Floyd (@ SD)
Demaryius Thomas (v IND)
Jacoby Jones (v DAL)

White is an obvious start, but what about the other two? I lean toward Thomas and Jones - Bowe is just in a crappy passing game till it's proven otherwise, and Floyd seems to have a hamstring issue that kept him out of practice today. If he's healthy, likely Floyd over Jones, but I see a lot of points being scored in that Houston/Dallas game so maybe not. WHIR, thanks!

thanks for responding to my post

I agree with your thoughts. Roddy white is absolutely a must start every week no matter what the matchup, so no question there.

I would go with Thomas vs indy. Indy scores a lot, any team will have to pass a lot to keep up, and Thomas has emerged as Ortons favorite target.

Beyond those 2, its a bit harder to say. Bowe is the best athlete, but on a sub par team that cant pass the ball, going up against a SF team who I expect to show up with a vengance after starting 0-2
That said, I would start Jones. Houston throws a lot, and it should be a high scoring game against Dallas.

Obviously its White, then I'd go with your lean on Thomas. He had a huge game in his FIRST offical game, add in that Denver will probably be down, and the seemingly pass happy attack the Broncos have and it makes for a good day. Next I'd go with Floyd, I don't particularly like him, but he technically is the #1 WR on that team. I like Jones, but with how bad Dallas has looked through 2 weeks, and how high powered the Texans are, that might be another 33 carry day for Foster.

Here's who I would start. I picked up Jones last week and he produced. He'll be fine again this week as a WR3. Depending on your other players, I might look to trade for a legit WR2 to pair with White. Thanks for your help on mine.

I would go with R. White, D. Bowe, and D. Thomas. I still think it's too early in the season to give up on D. Bowe. Once Kansas City starts facing tougher competition and begins trailing, his targets and production should go up.

I agree with this actually. You have to give Bowe a chance.

White is a given.

Thomas has a nice upside, I see Denver falling behind and passing frequently.

Floyd because I still think he's the #1 guy (behind Gates of course) in SD, and Rivers has been great.
