League I'm in w/ a group of old buddies from High School has some goofy draft/roster reqs - 10 team league, standard scoring, start QB/WR/WR/RB/RB/TE/Flex (WR/RB)/K/D, no PPR. Strict 15 man rosters. Need to draft and keep rostered 2 QB, 3 WR, 3 RB, 2 TE, 2 K, 2 D, 1 of any position. There is no WW and no FA - all in season pickups operate on blind cash bidding. Bids are due Thursdays by 7pm CST (Weds 7pm CST when there are Thursday games).

RB P. Thomas, A. Bradshaw, J. Addai, B. Jackson
TE B. Celek, O. Daniels
K N. Rackers, D. Buehler

Here's the deal...

Been trying all week to land a top tier TE... D. Clark, A. Gates, J. Finley, or V. Davis

The Dallas Clark deal was/is basically a done deal, w/ 1 hang up - I play the D. Clark owner this week and he wants to wait until Tuesday (which f'n sucks).

Clark deal is - J. Cutler/B. Celek/O. Daniels/B. Jackson for C. Palmer/D. Clark/M. Lewis/B. Wells or R. Williams (his choice).

Wanted to get that done before the Thursday bids are due, was planning on dropping Wells or Williams and picking up Tomlinson who's still available (but I don't think he'll last past this round of bids).

Obviously, deal isn't done...

Thinking about dropping B. Jackson for LT today - but...

I spent $21.00 on Jackson last week thinking I'd be able to move him for a TE - hasn't happened yet.

LT's bye is week 7, which is the same as Addai's & AJ's - so I'd have to drop somebody (a RB or WR) week 7 to fill my Flex spot or just roll the dice and take the "0" from my flex that week.

The following deals are still on the table....

Celek/Jackson/Ward for Gates/F. Jones/Housh

Celek/Jackson/Ward for Finley/Spiller/Knox

Celek/Daniels/Jackson/Ward for Davis/Heap/Barber/Owens

If any of these get accepted by the bid dead line, I'm dropping everybody but the TE's involved and putting in bids for the previously mentioned LT (same BYE headache, but I'll deal w/ it) and either D. Bryant or J. Maclin

Really wish the Clark deal got done - I don't quite get his reasoning, says he doesn't want to get beat by Clark, but Cutler and Jackson are, IMO all better options than what he currently has going for him - Palmer/Favre @ QB, R. Williams @ Flex & Celek/Daniels are both definately startable.

Anyway, do I stand pat & take the Clark deal Tuesday (if he still wants to do it), keep fingers crossed that one of the 3 other deals get done, or say screw it and drop BJax for LT (basically pissing away $21, but it's just $21) and go back to the drawing board next week?
